Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central!

Hi y'all!
With all this talk of dressing up I'm thinking maybe this year instead of just the boys maybe Joe and I will wear an actual costume instead of Halloween themed t-shirts,so I did a search on Halloween Costumes.I found several pretty cool sites for make your own. There are 100's of places to buy costumes online!

Thought I'd share these with my DIS Trick or Treaters!

Our family will peruse these together and see what we can come up with. Thank you, also, for all your helpful info about this. I know it will make our trip even more magical!:D

Thanks to all who made suggestions. They will be a big help. Now DH and I will have to decide what to go as. We will be going to MNSSHP on October 24. Will anyone else be there at that time?

Thanks for the ideas Baloo. These are great links. I've seen a couple that DH and I may try!

Hi !

If I don't have some place in my laggages to put costumes... Can I buy it there ?

Does Disney offer some costume for the party that we can rent ?

Do you know the price of princess dress in the store at Magic Kingdom... I think it's relatively expensive

Thank you so much for your help !!!

Hi. Im coming from england so i'm on a really tight budget. I was thinking... Would it be possible to do most things in the Magic Kingdom during MSSSHP? or would i have to go during the day? I can only afford either a day at MK or the Party, i would love to do the party but i want to do alot of the stuff.

Any ideas?

Thanks

isabelluss to answer your questions:

If I don't have some place in my laggages to put costumes... Can I buy it there ? Not that I have ever seen in years past on WDW property.Off property you'll find Walmart and Kmart that I know carry costumes and possibly a place at Belz Outlet Mall and various tourist shops.

Does Disney offer some costume for the party that we can rent ?No they don't although this would be a good idea. :)

Do you know the price of princess dress in the store at Magic Kingdom... I think it's relatively expensive I think they're priced between $20 and $30...I have 2 boys so I'm not sure! ;)

:earsboy:WELCOME to the DIS stal!!!:earsboy:

Ticket prices in advance for MNSSHP are $29.95... the day of the party $32.95.A One Day Pass into the MK is $52.00.If you're just planning on buying one ticket to visit the MK I'd go with MNSSHP.Most of the rides are open plus you get to see the parade, shows,LOTS of characters and fireworks. An added bonus is that the lines are very managable at MNSSHP.

Here's a list of what is open during MNSSHP:

Pirates of the Caribbean
Jungle Cruise
Big Thunder
Country Bears
Shootin Arcade
Splash Mt
Haunted Mansion
Riverboat
Carrousel
Dumbo
Small World
Mad Tea Party
Peter Pan
Snow White
Pooh ride
Astro Oribitor
Tomorrowland Speedway
Space Mt
Tomorrowland arcade
Buzz Lightyear
Alien Encounter

Plus numerous eating and shopping places.

hey:bounce: thanks for the welcome!:Pinkbounc

thanks for the info Baloo!

how come the toontown(sorry if its the wrong name!) isnt open? i know its only a small area, but it would be nice to see!
How long do the river boats last?

and does this mean the railway wont be in operation?

too many questions!! sorry!

1 more thing... i was in florida 2 years ago nd had heard about this. We asked at the hotel reception but they said they didnt know anything about it! weird!

thanks!:D

Sometimes Toontown Fair has been opened and sometimes not,I don't know the reason for this.

The WDW railroad isn't opened.

The Riverboat is in Liberty Square and runs continuously throughout the night.

If you were staying on WDW property they SHOULD have known about this! Off property places don't always know about these extra things going on at WDW.

You're very welcome!:)

which day would be the least crowded , friday 24th or sunday 26th?
Going on friday would be best for us, but not if it will be really busy.

Thanks:D

Well I'd do Sunday.Fridays are busier I'm afraid.

You do understand there are only so many tickets sold for this event. I'm trying to find this insider info ...on just exactly how many tickets...but Disney is tight lipped about this. But I have my way! ;) I know the number of tickets is nowhere close to regualr park hours attendance so it's not as crowded.

Here's my other reasoning to do it on Sunday of that weekend.Friday might be a big day for locals too since kiddies won't have to get up and go to school the next day. Also on nights that the next day is a school day the park seems to clear out some after the fireworks.

If Sunday really messes up your schedule go ahead and go on Friday. You'll still be able to do all the rides during party time.

You can get MNSSHP tickets on the disney website. Just go to WDW then tickets at the top then special events and then click on MNSSHP. I hate dressing up for Halloween. Have never liked it and my DS doesn't like it either. We might go anyway without costumes just to check out everyone else and get some pins.

Does anyone know what attractions are closed for the MNSSHP? Or where I can find that info?
Thanks!

Isabelluss - to answer you question about princess dresses in the MK stores - they are around $50.00 and UP! And that does not include all the accessories! I bought my DD her princess dresses and accessories from Disney Store sales and they were much less. I was very shocked at the prices. Yes, the dresses were a bit nicer but in my opinion not worth all the extra money! Check Disneystore.com every now and then too for sales. Last summer I bought DD a very discounted Cinderella dress.

megrod74...Here's a list of what is OPEN during MNSSHP ...that's about everything in the MK.Sometimes Mickey's Toontown is open sometimes not.I'm not sure yet about this year.

Mickeycrazie...if you're really not fond of Halloween I wouldn't recommend putting the money out for tickets UNLESS you're a diehard pin collector and there are one of a kinds that night.MK is pretty Halloweenie those nights!

If you do decide to go you won't feel out of place NOT wearing costumes because more party goers are not in costume than are dressed up,especially adults.

No TTA that night? :( I hope it is open! I love to ride it after dark.

My husband and I will be going on the 19th and 24th. It will be our first MNSSHP. We decided to do it twice so we won't miss anything.

Ya know TTA has been opened in the past,I remember riding it and we have pictures in Halloween outfits on it.It's not listed on any of my schedules from the past though. Hmmmmmmm....I'll have to see about that for this year!
