Hi,

We will be at disney on the 28th and 29th. Should we buy the halloween tickets in advance or can we wait for day of to see what weather is like? Do they usually sell out for all dates or just the 31st? :scared1:

Thanks!!!
Jen.

The couple before the last, especially the Friday one, WILL sell out so I wouldn't wait if I wanted to go to the Friday one.

Hi Beattyfamily,
Just wanted to comment on your cute girls' photo on your signature. Love the red hair (particularly since my hair is the same color! )

I am really not interested in dressing up and neither is my dh. A friend of mine said her boss went last year and didn't dress up and said they felt out of place because 90% of the people were in costume. Is this true? I like to ride rides and don't want to be bothered with a costume. Any suggestions?

i have no plans to dress up in costume.

i don't want to have to add to my suitcase more than necessary.
don't want to have to go back to my hotel room to change for the event
not sure of the weather for that evening and will i be comfy in costume
lastly..............its just not my thing.......

don't worry, you will see many not in costume. if you really want to do something for that event, why not wear a disney tshirt? place a sign on your back and have it say, disney tourist.

Why don't you just get one of those t-shirts that say: "This Is My Costume", or just try and wear something orange and black...that way you could go on all the rides without worrying about your costume being a problem. :D

Oh yes, certain of that -- although over the years I've managed to convince everyone around me that I'm just extremely determined, LOL :p Red hair kind of enables one to get away with a lot, IMHO!

Halloween T shirts at the disney store if anyone is interested. Just saw them on Friday. One was kind of plain. Grey with Mickey, bat and something else in black glitter. Another was black and had goofy as Frankenstein. Both were cute. I want to say they were 16.99?
Just an option..

Oh, yeah, any word on how much those baskets cost?

Yes, I'd like to get gift basket pricing and ordering info from Feralpeg as well. What a cute basket!

Janie

I agree it is a cute basket and I would love something like that waiting at the hotel for me. Shoot, I'd even buy it myself for my birthday. I'm a Halloween baby and I love being one. PM me if you get the information.

Thank you.

Hi there Mari, I just PM'd you with the info I received -- ;)

candy question........
What kind of candy to they give out? Are some locations better than others?

little candy bars primarily...milky way, snickers, butterfingers etc good stuff....end of the night you get more...one guy tried to give us his whole bag (100 pcs of candy at least)at 1130pm !!!

I just wanted to post that i found my husband and myself a shirt. I'm not a costume person so we opted for shirts instead. At WAL-MART yesterday we found him a Black shirt with orange writing saying i'm the treat. It was the best we could do and for 4.92 shoot who cares. Mine is Orange with black writing and a black kitty cat that say's something like scary kitty. Mine was 5.96 or something. So we are all set. I know it's nothing elebrate but we like them. :)

I found a shirt at Walmart too. I am what is termed "pooh-size" and have trouble finding themed clothing. I found one of those tops that nurses/dental assistants wear. It's purple (my favorite color) and has mummies, frankenstines, draculas etc on it. I also got some black and orange socks with bats on them and figured that I would wear black shorts. Confort is my motto!!

Single digits now:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

If I want to see the 10:00 parade on the 3rd I'm assuming it will be less crowded than the earlier parade and we can find spots close to parade time? I would like to watch the fireworks and be able to see the witch fly down at 9:15, but then I also would like to hear the headless horseman tale before parade time at the Liberty Bell. Is this doable? Would I have time to walk across to the Liberty Bell from the Tomorrowland bridge after the fireworks or is there a spot closer to the bridge that would still be good to see the witch?

I am trying to meet someone and I'm trying to find out for us what would be our best option. Is hearing the tale before the horseman rides out cool enough for the hassle? Will it be very crowded in that spot?

Also, how long does this parade last? I'm assuming in the middle of the route like around the bridge would be good as regardless of the direction of the parade it would not be the last spot.

Thanks for any advice or tips!

this is my first mnsshp on oct. 3.
i just read the above posting and thought , wow, i didn't know that

how many parades are there on oct 3 mnsshp?
when are the fireworks?

what times are the parades if there are more than two?

tia

macraven, according to last year there was a parade at 8 and 10, with fireworks in between at 9:15.
