So we will be taking our first trip ever to Disney in September! My babies will be 9 and 2 when we go and I want to surprise the kids. I want them to remember this trip but I also have to stick to a budget. I want to do the MIckeys GW but don't want to pay the price since we have to double it (one for each kid) so I read on here that people have made there own. How do you do it? I don't want to have to find room for it all in my suitcase. Can I ship it to the resort and have them keep it til we arrive? Also I've read that the resort will deliver balloons to the room for free. Is that true? We are king for my daughters birthday and it would be nice to have them delivered if possible. How do you ship the big plush mickeys? Is the shopping cheap? I am very crafty and frugal so spending 400 on something I can do myself is not something I want to do. Thanks in advance .

You can check out shipping to your resort at the sticky at the top of the page. You need to follow the directions regarding shipping methods and addresses. Shipping charges would all matter on how and what you ship.

Disney does not deliver balloons for free to your room, you would pay for it through Disney Florist. And if you are staying at AKL, you cannot have balloons at all.

Some people have noted they have used Memories from Betsy and they are very pleased with her service. She has a web site, less than on-site Disney, but still a cost involved.

I would check out the budget board; a lot of people post fantastic ideas on how to do things on a budget, including what you are referring to.
