I am curious if you would splurge for the Christmas Party or a Premier Pass for MK? Kids are tweens and teens and we've never done the Christmas Party, but free cookies and character photos aren't a big draw for them. Thoughts? :)

Would you be getting the Premier Pass on a party day or a non-party day? You can get a lot done on a non-party day (especially if you purchase LLMP and LLSP) so for our family it would be MVMCP but it really depends on how many party activities you will be participating in? Are you only looking for shorter lines or, participating in party activities?

Also, MVMCP is likely less $ than LLPP.

We have some flexibility and could do a non-party day. As far as party activities, I'm not even sure what that means! We love parades and fireworks - and I want to see the snow on Main Street! Besides that, I don't really know what to expect.

Party activities would include special stage shows and meet & greets, parades, fireworks, the aforementioned complimentary cookies and cocoa, special food items and merchandise only available during the party, the snow, things like that. If the attractions matter more to you than those things, I would not go to the party. If the activities do, then I would. No wrong answer, just which choice is best for your family.

There are also party overlays and music that are only offered during MVMCP.

If you’re looking for a quieter park, a party is not recommended.

I guess we need to better understand what you want to accomplish to best understand which recommendation.

For us it would add ways be MVMCP because we enjoy Christmas, the excitement of the party and the party exclusive events and food mentioned by @fla4fun.

My favorite parts of MVMCP are the parade, fireworks and just walking around soaking up the atmosphere and doing the special overlay rides (Space Mountain is so fun!). If it were me, I would probably consider going to the party and purchasing LLMP/LLSP for another MK day or, if you only have one day, do it all in one day so you can do the rides during normal park hours and then just enjoy the party. It's best of both worlds, IMHO.

Personally we do the party just to go in the rides. We don’t do the parades or shows or meet and greets, etc.

We don’t care to wait in line to get a free cookie. We would rather go on rides.

We go to the parks for ten days and we pick our last Friday there to go to the party because we love staying there until midnight on our last park day. We then sleep in and do the pool and/or Disney Springs the next day (Saturday). (We only do parks on weekdays.)

There is a major price difference between a MVMCP ticket and a Premier Pass per guest. Have you looked at the pricing difference?

Example: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party ticket prices for 2025 range from $169 to $229 per person, and a LLPP price hits a peak of $429 (range $339 - $429) for a couple days next month looking at the 21 day window.
