MickeyAnne's PJ! NJ Wedding + DLR/DCL Honeymoon (GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW!!!!!)

OMG I love the picture on the swings, how cute is that. Where did you have your photos taken?

Thanks for the compliments!!!
Lynn - The swings were so much fun! We felt like little kids. We took a lot there so I looking forward to seeing the rest. The pictures were taken at Kingsland Manor in Nutley. Its a huge beautiful park with lots of great places to pose.

The park is so pretty. Great location for your pictures. I really can't get over how adorable your pictures are. You and you DF are soo cute!

I absolutely LOVE your dress! I am from North Jersey as well - what bridal salon did you work with to find Maggie Sottero in the area?

Thanks! I love it too!
I went to Park Ave Bridal. It is in Verona. I was very impressed with them and they have been in business for a vety long time!

Your pictures are wonderful! We haven't gotten ours done yet. We are thiking about waiting till the fall since we will be getting married in the fall next year. But I don't know if I want to wait that long.

WOW!! Your engagement pictures are GORGEOUS! You are going to have amazing wedding photographs, it looks like you have a great photographer. I love the style :goodvibes. You two look so cute. That's torture for you to see some and have to wait for more!

I have no idea how I've missed your planning journal. I love your dress. How beautiful! And your engagement party favors are adorable. I can't wait to hear about the rest of your wedding plans!

I am so sorry to hear about everything you and your DF have had to go through. I can't even begin to imagine. The way you have chosen to honor your sister and DFIL is incredibly sweet and thoughtful. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

DeeDee - Thanks! I couldn't wait any longer either! We were trying to wait to the summer but when I realized that the cherry blossoms bloom around this time I just had to go now!

KellyJo- Thank you for your prayers and compliments! Both are appreiciated!

MermaidBride - Thank you for your kind word about DFIL and my pics

M&M - Celebrating the good is my only plan! If we focus on the bad we lose sight of what is important! Thanks to you as well!

I feel like I have been slacking recently! I know I have time but I need to get back on the ball ASAP for my own sanity! :rotfl:

We got back the proofs from our engagement shoot and they are wonderful! There were so many that I liked - it was really hard to choose ones to print out! And this was only 135 pictures to choose from - I am going to be so stressed picking out of the 1000+ that they will take at our wedding! The god thing is that we get to keep all of the proofs which are just 4x6 pictures. Here is a link to them. The password is "fredericks"

My engagement party is in less then two weeks and I am still undecided as to what the center pieces are going to be. I don't want to spend too much on flowers or something although I would love to use flowers. My mom and I have been wracking our brains but it seems we are stuck. Any suggestions anyone!

I am also looking for a collage frame to display some pics from the engagement shoot in. I want one that holds more the 8 4x6 pics but have had no luck.

I hope once the party is done then I will be able to get some more planning finished! :thumbsup2

Thats all for now!

WOW! That sure is a lot of pictures to choose from! I would be going insane! I have a question. Did your engagement pictures come included in your wedding photography package or did you use someone totally different? I have a wonderful wedding package, but no engagement session included. I would love to get them taken outside though. We were just going to go to an inside studio somewhere. Maybe I can ask my photographer if they do engagement shots at an extra (maybe discounted) charge. :confused3

Yes our engagement shoot is part of our wedding photography package. It is a way for the client to get to know the photographer that they are going to be working with on their wedding day. I say ask your photog! Most do do more then just weddings so youo have a very good chance! GL!

I feel like it has been years since I last posted. After Mike's father passed away, things just got nuttier if you can even imagine. I won't elaborate because its time for happy thoughts.

My engagement party went well. We got TONS of stuff because people all wanted to know about our registry. We actually are going to have to register again for my shower - thats how much we got. I will post pics of everything latetr this week (as soon as I get them uploaded).

My MOH and I went bridesmaid dress shopping which was tons of fun. This is my first choice;

I really like tea length dresses for some reason. What do you all think? Do you think it will look odd next to my dress?

These are my alternates with a-line skirts;

These will of coarse all be in yellow.

I would love some opinions ladies!!!

I say go for the tea length! I chose tea length dresses for my girls because it is going to be very hot down in Florida in the middle of July and because I thought it made them a little easier to wear again. I don't think it would look odd next to your dress at all. Plus they won't have to worry about the bottoms getting dirty or stepped on while we are walking around outside. And it will give them a reason to go pick out a really cute pair of shoes to show off!

Just caught up on your PJ. I love the first dress! Tea length is so much fun! I just wore one for a friend's wedding and I don't ever want to wear a long dress again :laughing: - I felt more comfortable and didn't fear tripping over my long dress.

keep us posted;)

I also really like the tea length dress you picked out, very pretty :goodvibes and as other posters have said, I wore one in a wedding and loved it! It really is a lot easier than a long dress (although the long ones you picked out are also very cute).

Can't wait to hear about and see the pics from your engagement party!

I just started reading your planning journal. I have to admit I'm jealous of all the crafts you have done so far. I have a list of things I want to do, but my wedding is in 9 months and I wonder if I will actually get them all done. It is great that you started so early.

I'm so sorry to hear about all that you and your DF have went through with the passing of his father. My uncle passed away about six months before my cousin's wedding and I know how hard it was for everyone in the family.

Yay for the tea length BM gowns! I am subscribing. I can't believe I've missed this thread until just now. You two are absolutely adorable!

I like the tea length dresses. I'm doing them and I think it will look fine even though my dress is long. They are more comfortable in my opinion :)
