Mickey Mouse Countdown

I wanted to share the countdown to disney me and my son made yesterday. We still have a long time till our trip to disney. But i just get excited to make things for disney. But i thought i would share incase anyone was looking for ideas for a countdown. The mickey mouse heads i got at homedepot in the paint section.

Oh my goodness, this is cute!!!!! I love it. Our 100 days out mark is coming up this week (tomorrow actually) and I was looking for something to do to make us a countdown!!!!!!!!!!! I have a mickey head punch (scrapbooking) and I can punch us out 100 mickey heads and start our countdown!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

Mine is similar. I just took the Mickey Heads off the cardstock they were on. Our countdown goes up to 110 days. I think I figured that would be mid-June for us. We can't wait!

Well i had some at home from when we painted our boys room. But then i did take about 50 of them from home depot. When i grapped one color i would just take 2 or 3 at the same time so it just looked like i took one..

That is really cute i like the little mickey and title that you put on it. I was also thinking of taking the cardstock off put i did not know if it would ruin the mickey heads. Plus i thought i would save them for other trips we take to disney and i did not know if i took them off if i could use them a second or third time. What did you use to put your countdown on?

what do you do as each number gets smaller?? Do you pull the cards down or cross them off with marker??

No i did not write anything under the numbers. There is writing on the cardstock. It is the paint name and number.

I just taped them on to the poster board so i am just going to pull them off as i go. I am going to save them for other trips to disney that we take.

We did a paper link calendar for DS 2.5. He was allowed to pull a link off every night before bed. Then, as the chain shortened, we started to show it to him in relationship to his height. He went nuts over it! The top of the chain I used some cardstock to make a mickey silhouette in the same manner as the chain. It was really great for his age.

That is such a cute idea Maybe i will do that for my 2 year old. He might like that. Then both my boys can have there own countdown and will not fight over who gets to do it.
