I'm looking at this for my DD's 3rd birthday which will be on 3/1 and I was just on amazon.com. Reading the reviews for it there, it did not appear that people think very much of it. I'm just looking for opinions on it. Do your kids love it? Do they really play with it? Does it work? Do you think it is poorly or cheaply made? Would you buy it again if you knew what you know now?

My son just turned 3 and he likes it. He will play with it if I pull it out. He is a fan of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and loves the show. It sounds like if kids are a fan of the show they will like toy. But yes, it is cheaply made. The slide and the boot never stay on. My son gets frustrated with the slide falling off all the time, I did buy super glue and have been meaning to super glue the slide on, that seemed to be working for people. I search for all 8 characters at Christmas time and got them all. I would say that that wasn't necessary. Maybe get another set or two of the characters. But you don't need all four character sets. He also got the counting car for Christmas and he has hardly touched that.

It is a PIECE OF JUNK really...very poorly made...as the PP said that shoe and slide do not stay on...so be prepared to have to glue it...which isn't a big deal, but shouldn't be necessary. And it is supposed to light up when a character says "Meeska Mooska..." well we are on our SECOND Clubhouse and NEITHER has worked. I feel bad for the people who spent HUNDREDS of dollars on one of these off of eBay because they got taken for a ride!

I agree. My kids stopped playing with it, because we could never get the pieces to stay together. It will not hold up to just regular play.

my kids love it! we have the clubhouse and the car, and I think 3 sets of characters. the electronic parts of it are cute, but really not what I like about it. I love the fact that the kids play with it just like they do little people sets...they make up elaborate stories and have them interact.

I agree about the boot and the slide being a PITA. we have superglue, and should just attach them that way, but haven't done it yet.

we searched long and hard for this toy around christmas and are severly disappointed in it. It does not stay together, can't find any more of the characters to go with it and my son stopped playing with it. He absolutely loves the show but the toy is poorly made. The sad thing is we couldn't find it and my aunt in another city did and bought it for him. i feel so bad like she wasted her money!

Well, let me start by saying I lost my mind when I heard they were making this. I had to have it for my kids. I had grandpa go out to find it. I looked all over and had no luck. My dad found it the same night! I have the same problems with the slide. It does not stay on. And the figures only work in their base. I find that to be a pain! I also have the phone, car and piano non of which my kids play with. But that is just my kids!

same problems with slide and boot. We even superglued them but they STILL fell off the first time DS moved the clubhouse and set it back down. Our next step is to try JBWeld ( somekind of cement glue). DH likes it but isn't overly eager to play with it. We are still trying to find the extra characters for it.

My 3 yr old DS plays with it occasionaly, but not as often as I thought he would. He also gets frustrated with the slide/door falling off. (I haven't glued it because it's easier to store with the pieces off.) I only have the figures that came with the set becuase I couldn't find any others around Christmas time except on e-bay and I refused to spend that much money on them. Now I don't know if I'll bother.
We also have the counting car which he plays with a lot more often, but he generally likes all kinds of cars.
I would not buy it again.

I think it is junk as well. My son hardly plays with it. I hate the way the slide doesn't stay on.
