I then got a text from Vinny asking where I was and I told him I would be there in a minute. I was soon back with them and boy were they wet Here is Vinny. He won 1st prize in the wet t-shirt contest. So glad I stayed off.


We then decided to walk along and hopefully they will dry off some. They do have machines you can step into for $5 to dry off but it did not look like they were working to well on the people using them. We then came to a very fun area with little sayings all over the place.




I wish I was there now, it is cold today.


I hate when this happens.

I thought we went on this and had a pic taken but I guess not.


And then we were done with Toon lagoon. I guess the entire area from Dudley ride to here was Toon lagoon as this sign was at this end but did not see one on the other side. I did go into the gift store there as I have a friend who loves “I Love Lucy” and I wanted to get her a t shirt but did not see any there.

We moved on and came to Marvel Super Hero island and we knew what we wanted to do.




I turned around to see this happening.

Hysterical! The girl screamed and the Goblin ran away. It was really funny.

Then we came to our destination.

Again, Islands is so wonderfully themed.

After seeing them I was glad I did not ride it.
it really is. Bright and colorful and fun.
it was very funny. I would love to go to Horror Nights once but I think I would be scared. and Vinny won't go.

We checked to see how long the wait was and then we went in. These pics are mostly the queue.

Then we rode. The cars hold 8 people 4 in each row and we and we had the front row. This ride is so fun. You spin, go fast, jerk and at one point looks like you are falling down to the street and it does really feel like that. A definite must when in the park. I do not think Renee feels the same way as I believe she said once was enough. That comes back later in the trip to.

When we stepped outside we saw people lined up on the street and then we saw this.


A bunch of Super heroes went by and then jumped off and lined up for people to get photos. We did not do that. We walked

Then we saw Doctor Dooms Fear Fall and we said no thanks.


Then we came to Hulk Coaster.


Here comes a car with foolish people. LOl


I actually took 14 pics there but it was as the car came down into view but I will bore you with those. Then we walked on.

I should mention before entering Marvel section we saw Popeye and Olive Oyl but did not get a pic with them. I did not think they looked all that great.
Now we are back to walking and we decide we are done and ready to leave the park. As we walk out I see this. A Christmas store.


I said I wanted to go in and I had to drag Vinny in but Renee waited outside. There was NOT one ornament that said Universal 2013. I was disappointed and did not buy anything. The other side was more gifts but still no t-shirt.

A plane crashed here. LOL

No luck here either.

Then we had to decide. Leave or go to the other side and see if I can get a shirt there in the Lucy store and possibly see The Minion Dance party.

That Spider-Man ride had my vertigo going and that was before it got bad. I'm with Renee, once is enough!

I don't understand why these themes parks don't have more of the merchandise that customers want. And no ornament that says Universal 2013! . Sheesh!

I am still shocked that Spiderman opened way back in 1999. That could easily open today and still look ground breaking.

Fear Fall is surprisingly pretty boring despite its looks (at least to me anyway). No where near the awesomeness that is Tower of Terror.

We found an ornament in 2010 ... weird that Universal wouldn't have them to buy especially in December As you say Scott, it is their loss!
