Rats. Waiting for cataract surgery so I do miss a few things on the computer screen despite a 23 inch screen. Just life in the suburbs, in an area with lots of creeks that feed into the river a mile away. Put cameras on the house a couple of months ago. Just in that time we have had a possum, a rat, multiple cats and a wild turkey pass through the front and back yards.

What desert do you live in...I spent the first 12 years in Joshua Tree and now the last 8 in Yuma...my friend was hospitalized with his arm swelling to water melons size..I have yet to see scorpions or widows... but I live in a massive housing complex so every thing is sprayed.. just termites and crickets

I live in the Sonoran desert -- beautiful, but can also be deadly.

Raw meat and creepy crawlies especially spiders are top of my list. Although I'm certainly grateful I live in my urban area of the UK after reading some of these posts!

I also have a weird thing about not touching certain foods that make my hands messy or greasy. Like wings, fried chicken, big messy burgers, any baking that involves having to get stuck in with your hands etc. I have been known to eat KFC with cutlery... I also don't like sticking my hands in washing up bowls if they've got food bits floating around in them.
