Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

It's been several years since we've eaten at The Turf Club and looking at your pictures makes me think that we need to go back.

All of the Downtown Disney pictures are great but I think my favorites are of the Lego dragon and you with the Star Wars helmet/hat (have no clue of the names of any Star Wars characters :rotfl:)

**Oh and please do share your upcoming trip plans!

I love going there when it is not too warm so we can sit outside.
Thanks. That would make Lord Darth (Scott) Vader. :lmao:

Will do. This week I will write it up. Just bought a car so was busy with that.

We continued our looking around the store. They had great nutcrackers and I regret not getting one. I think they were nutcrackers, I do not see a spot for the nuts. LOL.

This one was cute.

Then we left there and walked on.

Then we saw Olaf. I love “Frozen”. They did a great job on it.

Then we came to Ghiradelli. Yes we got something.

I had a small Caramel Banana Shake. I could not finish it. I might be able to now or have more now.

Lorrie had a chocolate malt.

Then we walked some more. One of my favorite stores.

I waited on the side of the building while Lorrie went inside WGP to get herself and Jim dinner. I think they got the meatloaf. YUM!

After she got her food we started to head back to SSR. First we had to pass Rainforest café.

Here is a video of it.

Love the balloon behind it.

Looking across the lake.

Looking back at RFC.

Here comes a boat.

This is my desktop wallpaper right now.

On our way to SSR.

Blurry shot of SSR from the water.

Yes it is. It is our home resort.

Love the carriage.

We parted ways and I was back in the room. It was a good day and it was fun hanging out with Lorrie at DTD.

Here are my walking stats.

Up next,

A day of rest…

Those Mickeys are all SO cute! They must have been hard to resist.

What a gorgeous night! So looking forward to a boat ride to DTD a couple weeks from now!

I love all the Mickey nutcrackers (I believe you lift up Mickey's head; I got one at Penney's several years ago).

Beautiful pictures all around Downtown Disney. I especially like the one with the balloon behind Fulton's.

Nice pics from your walk around DTD. The Christmas decorations are pretty.

I have eaten at Fulton's. We really enjoyed it. There is a short review and some pics in my May 2011 TR below. You hear good and bad about it but that's true about any restaurant these days. I would go again. It is Pricey but it is on the Dining Plan now, I think it is 2 credits.

I regret not buying the Mickey nutcracker playing the drums. I have a musical theme for my Christmas decorations and that drum playing Mickey would fit right in. Sadly, it was just that little bit too heavy for me to contemplate putting it in my luggage.

Great pictures. Loving your walk around DTD. :thumbsup2

Scott, all your photos over the last few updates of DTD are spectacular. I missed getting over there in December, but now I feel like I did. :)

Loving all the night time shots

The one with Fulton all lit up is gorgeous :goodvibes

Trent loves nutcrackers. He has about 6 or 7 of them. I have a disney ones I put at base of my fireplace during Christmas . I love them too :yay:

I really need to check out Ghiradellis one of these days. I always pass it and it smells so good :thumbsup2

They were really cute. I should have gotten one. I think they pop up again later.
I love all the boat rides at Disney and always make time for them. You are lucky.

I might start collecting them.
Go to the take out window on the side. :thumbsup2

I will go and check it out. You do hear mixed reviews of all places. We do not really do the DDP anymore but have TIW so if they take it we go. :rotfl2:

Glad I am not the only one with regrets.
Thank you.

Just coming out of "lurkdom" (is that a word??:rotfl: ) to tell you how much I love your trip report!!
:welcome:
I think it is a word. :lmao:
Thank you for coming out of it and welcome to the report. Thanks for reading.

We usually ship everything home we buy but this trip we didn't really buy anything.

Oh my goodness Scott, your nighttime pictures are fantastic! Mine always turn out crappy. :crazy2:
Thank you.

A new day and new beginning. No parks on this day. Looking at the receipts it looks like we went to Kissimmee early and went to McDonald’s and got a iced coffee and regular coffee.
I did take this pic.

Renee did join us on this day as she really took it as a rest day. LOL. We (well me) wanted to see the resorts decorations. Here is the pool in our section as we were leaving.

We were driving to the resorts. It made it easy as all I asked for was my magicband.
First up were the All Star Resorts.

Their store.

Their Christmas Tree in the lobby.

Looking back at the lobby.

I thought this was a cute resort. Here are some touches.

Then we went out by the pool.

These buildings were cute.

We continued walking.

Reminded me of POP but with sports.

Looking at another building.

This sign is very important. I have seen kids swimming and no diapers and then they had to clear the pool to clean. Think Caddyshack. LOl.

I loved this pool.

The other side.

I loved the big Coke cups.

Then we moved onto the next resort. Good place to stop for pic limit.

Up next,

More touring

So excited we get to see all resorts you toured pics. :cool1:

Never been to sports, so was nice seeing some pics.

Looks like a cute resort

I think the only we missed was Fort Wilderness.

It was our first time there. it was cute. Lots of kids for POP Werner but it was still nice and they were so organized. All walked in a single file line.

it was.

Great update, Scott. I enjoyed touring the All Star Sports with you. We stayed there in 2000 for three days (I had us moved after that time because I couldn't stand the "noise"). Our boys did love the pool though. They did a nice job on the decorations.
