Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

Oh my, I would have passed on the Rip Rid Rockit Ride as well. That was to recent in the past to forget what happened to those poor stuck people.

Ha ha Disaster sounds like an interesting attraction but I'll take your word for it that people watching was more interesting. ;)

The expansion plans for WWoHP sound excellent.

It was all I thought about when I saw it.
Trust me it definitely is more interesting.
I cannot wait for it to finished.

After they got out he text me as they were sitting further down from me and I could not see them. I walked over to them and we discussed lunch. We went to look at the menu for.

After looking over the menu we decided it was better to eat here then at a fast food place so we went in.

This was in the lobby as we walked in.

We were seated in the middle of the restaurant near the fish tank.

Now for the food. Vinny and I ordered the same apps.
LOBSTER BISQUE: Creamy and smooth lobster stock enriched with sweet sherry and herbs. $4.99

And that was the only pic I took. LOL. Oops! Anyway, here is what else we had.

Renee did not have an app but she did order.
LOMBARD’S CHOP SALAD: Turkey, ham, and cheese tossed with mixed greens, fresh basil, tomatoes and cucumbers served with a mustard vinaigrette. $11.99/$8.99

Scott:
The lobster bisque and CAESAR: A bed of romaine lettuce with our famous Caesar dressing, homemade croutons, topped with shaved parmesan cheese and crispy fried onion strips and grilled chicken. $11.99

Vinny:
The lobster bisque and PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND BEER STEAMED MUSSELS: Tender mussels steamed in beer, with fresh basil and tomatoes. $8.99

The total for our bill was $45.28 with tip.

I liked mine and thought the soup was good. The salad was really good. I believe Renee enjoyed her salad also. Vinny said the mussels were good too. I would go back if we visited again because it was better than fast food.

Now as for my friend they went and ate somewhere else but do we meet up?
I guess I really liked this as I took another pic when we exited.

I thought this was cute.

Now they have a Minions Dance Party everyday and I wanted to see it. I looked at the times schedule and we decided to walk over there. As you can see it was still very busy. LOL

There is the Rockit coaster.

The scenery here is so cute.

Then we came across these guys. I would be flat on my butt.

Now the guide said across from Lucy so that is where we walked over to but I need to stop here.

Up next,

Do we see the Minions? Do we see a friend? And “Cowabunga”…

Love the pics of the fountain in the restaurant.

The scenery in the park is really nice and I was surprised that the parks weren't really very crowded.

You got a pic of the guys on the stilts from the front. I would have helped THEM up if they fell.

Did you meet your friend? Hmmmmm. I wonder.

Yor soup looked very good !!! I didn't eat there either time I went . I really liked Finnegans though !!!

Thanks. I really must have loved them being I took 2 pics.
It was really quiet in the park that day.
:rotfl2: I am sure you would have.
:scratchin not really sure. :)

I just saw the menu and that place does look good also.

Is that restaurant new? The last time we were there the only sit down place was an Irish pub. I like places that aren't Fast Food too. I'd rather have a decent meal than a greasy one.

So you still didn't tell us if you met up. :confused3

The corned beef on a pretzel roll was YUMMY as were the Bangers & Mash ( a staple for me growing up)

Hmmmm...I don't remember that sit down place the last time we were there. It could be: 1) I'm so old I don't remember; 2) it's been so long since we've been there that they added it or 3) none of the above

But lunch does sound yummy. I don't mind counter service every once in awhile, but if I can get a relatively cheap sit down meal, I'd rather do that.

I am not sure when it opened. This was right across from "Disaster".
Me too.

The corned beef sounds good but I do not like Bangers & Mash.

:rotfl2: I will go with #2.
Every once in awhile I do like counter service but I will take sit down anytime.
:thumbsup2

Cool restaurant. It looks and sounds like a great choice for lunch!

The Bangers and Mash sound so good, I love them. Wish I had noticed that place.

That's what we had at Finnegan's. As I remember it was the only sit diwn place in US at the time which was like six years ago. They bangers and mash were great!

I don't know if I ever had them but I draw the line at steak and kidney pie. My mom got that from her grandmother who was English. Made it once and we all went to a fast food place. The house smelled for days.

Well, the bisque looked good and I'll take your word on the rest of it! :rotfl:

The crowds look low over there. Hope you saw the Minions!!!!! :yay:

Love how it looked in that restaurant. Very cool :thumbsup2

So awesome how dead the park was

will be waiting to see what happens :surfweb:

It was a good choice for lunch. Very happy we decided to try it. They have seats outside on the lagoon too which would be nice to try once.

:lmao: sorry.
Never heard of cornish pasties.

The bisque was good but thicker than most others.
They were but do they stay that way?

The restaurant was really pretty.
:thumbsup2 I was happy with the crowds.
Maybe later today I will write another update.

Great updates! I love roller coasters, so I'm dying to try Rip Ride Rockit, but the fact that all those people got stuck kind of scares me! My sister was in Universal when that happened, I texted her and told her and I think she said they went on 2 hours earlier! Crazy! :rotfl:

The Simpson's area looks so cool!

The restaurant you ate at looks really nice! I don't know anything about Universal restaurants, except the ones in the Simpson's area, of course! I'm dying to get a Krusty Burger and a Duff! :rotfl:

Your meal looked good and pretty good value too :thumbsup2

I hope you see the Minions, as you've seen I like Minions :rotfl2:
