Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

Oh please don't shorten your report! Love the pics and stories. You are never boring so keep it coming!! :thumbsup2

Havent been to Universal in about 10 years and I love how empty it was when you went. I will go when they open Diagon Alley. You are looking good, thanks for the inspiration, I want to lose for our 25th anniversary trip in June:lovestruc

Long version with pics please !!!

Being a reader of my trip report, you know what my answer will be.....long version, lots of pictures!

Is "Disaster" the ride with the tornado?

I did not go to Men In Black a few years ago, I remembered it was a good place for air conditioning. Jack Sparrow was so boring I forgot to mention it in my trip report. I think the highlight of JS is when the kids get to yell argh! I never read about Jack Sparrow in a TR till I got home, and when you see comments like; "30 minutes of my life I can't have back", I was like damn, how did I not know.

You look great Scotty in week 10, keep up the good work.

You are never boring Scotty.
No. That is Twister. This is the one that ends with you on a subway.
:rotfl2: That is what I said about the ride.
Thanks.

Checking in. I don't know a thing about minions, but I know they are very popular among the kids at my school.

As for pictures, you know I vote for throwing them all in. :thumbsup2
Welcome back and glad to see you are feeling better. The Minions are so cute. I love them.
:thumbsup2

Okay I won't. Just some pics people might find boring but I will post them.
We will go back when that is all open and the crowds calm down a little from it.
Thank you.

After seeing Ah-nuld we walked outside and we saw a Spongebob party ending.

No clue who this is.

I know his name. LOL

Dancers.

As we stood there we were talking about what to do next and then we decided. Here is the Rockit coaster. Do you see the coaster going straight up on the left of the hill?

Hello again.

We decided on this.

I think it was about a 20 minute wait and it really was. We all went and I took pics along the way.

Bad pic of Lorrie. LOL

Then we rode. It is a fun ride very similar to Spiderman if you have ridden that. I think a must do. Oh wait wrong park. LOL

Afterwards we went outside and walked some more.

That Lorrie is hard to get a pic of. LOl

I think I will stop here. I will say we split up next but who goes with who and where?

Up next,

I was lifted out of my seat…

Trent loves Spongbob cartoon, me not so much :rotfl2:

That pink dude is Patrick

Is Transformers ride a motion simulator ride? Or whatever heck you call it

I can honestly say I never saw it.
It was nice seeing patrick. :rotfl:
it is a ride and simulator.

Sounds like fun, my brother went and didn 't tell about the rides.
:rotfl2: it was all surprises?

Oh Scott, you poor childrens' cartoon uneducated man you. :rotfl2: That pink starfish is Patrick! I thought that everybody knew who Patrick was. :rotfl:

Look at the abs on that Mummy guy! :p

I vote for long version with pics... I love your trip report so much I went and read all your old ones too... :thumbsup2

I am all caught up!!!

I cannot believe the difference in your Universal day to ours. The crowds were beyond insane, we never made it on Despicable Me which really bummed us all out. We managed around a lot of the rest (yay for single rider!) but oh, the crowds!

There is a night water show at the location you pointed out, it was very cool.

76 pounds. WOW! That is incredible, what an accomplishment so far and you look great.

TGIF everyone :wave2:

Scott, Congrats on your weight loss! :cool1: You can really see the difference..You must be feeling terrific 'cause you LOOK it. :goodvibes

and my vote is the LONG version!! Your picture enhance your story telling and makes it come alive for all of us. :) We did so little park time at the Studios so your pictures are definitely making me think we need a return trip soon. And a bonus is the HP expansion due to be open this year. :)

Lombard's Landing... that Lobster Bisque looks fantastic!!:thumbsup2 (and the price is right. We didn't venture past the Three Broomsticks in WWoHP.. my DD and her friend wouldn't hear of it. :)

We love Lucy too and what a nice collection and display...sometimes we are anxious for the rides we forget to make time for more exhibits like this one. Could be that we are typically visiting in the summer with all the rest insane people and the sun is set on Broil.? :rotfl2:

Transformers sound like fun and as we liked Spiderman, sure we will like this one too.

Every time I get a view of Rip ride I have no problem saying NO. :rotfl:

And where were you lifted, pray tell?? :goodvibes

Okay you win. :lmao: Seriously I am going to do it. I think the older ones are missing the photos since I moved to Flickr from photobucket.

You went at a very busy time of the year. We don't roll that way. :rotfl2:
I have seen the show on youtube and it is gorgeous.
Thanks. Still going hopefully.

TGIF to you.
Thanks. I do feel the difference A LOT.
Will do. Long version coming.
I will go back next year after the crowds die down a little form the opening but I do look forward to seeing it and you definitely should go.
We might have hit Three Broomsticks
I can understand that about the rides.
it is fun but it was the longest line of the day.
:rotfl2: that was how I felt that day.
I will do that update tomorrow.

Thanks for the crowd pics. We're doing a version of your trip next year only in reverse (Disney first starting the day after Thanksgiving followed by Universal). I'm still a bit apprehensive about Thanksgiving weekend at Disney crowds, but from what I hear, the next week is pretty tame.

Oh no! You missed the Minions! Boo!

I'd love to see the I love Lucy stuff! I used to watch that on Nick at Night when I was kid! :goodvibes

You are looking great. You can really see your face slimming down! Congrats!

I am not a fan of Spongebob, but that little parade has some great artwork! Looks just like the Cartoons!

I see that there are a lot of new rides in Universal since I was last there. We watched the first Transformers movie the other night. I guess we need to see the rest before we go back and I then I can ride the ride.

I need to get hip on popular culture before we go back! I'm glad you are feeling better from the weight loss!

When you get to Universal you should have it to yourselves. :lmao:
We got to Disney the Monday after Thanksgiving. It was busy but definitely manageable.

:sad2: it was a sad day. :lmao: I was bummed but we do go back so there is a chance I might see it.
The tribute to her was very nice. The gift shop was very small for Lucy. Mostly Betty Boop in there.
The parade was very nice and colorful.

You have 2 more to go and then the new one coming out. Shia is no longer in it.
:rotfl2: just pretend.
I feel fantastic. Thanks. Lots of energy.

We solved the issue of needing lockers by not bringing any purses, backpacks in..we heard that this was true for FJ as well. We just crammed our wallets anyplace we could on our bodies. :rotfl2: The camera went into short pockets that had a button. Sunglasses got put in the shirt/bra. we may have looked oddly misshapen BUT we didn't have to wait in the locker line! :rotfl2:
:rotfl: It became a fun thing...who's going to get to go with Mommy to the locker :rotfl:
Thankfully it was not busy so we walked right up to a locker.
I can understand the boring part of the ride.
I miss it. :(
I would die on both of them.
I look forward tot he train the most I think.
Lucky you for a mini trip. I think no trips for me being we are doing Italy/Paris.
DH and I did Dr. Doom...we felt brave on our adult only trip (after a margarita or 2) NEVER AGAIN! My DH said he laughed since I was screaming louder than he's ever heard :rolleyes1

That train is definitely what I want to see!

Great update(s) and WOWZA fantastic job, you look great!
