Mickey Mail for DVC vacations?

If we book using our DVC points, will we still receive "Mickey Mail" before the trip? Or is that only if you get a package that you pay with cash. We aren't buying tickets (from Disney), and we're not using Magical Express.

DVC does not send out pre-trip packets.

As DVC owners, what we get is a reservation confirmation via email when reserving. That's it.

I know that there is a phone call you can arrange from a character before a cruise, no matter how you book. I wonder if there is one for the resort?
