My wife just found a 3 piece Mickey luggage set at Marshall's. Very cool. It's between and Royal and Dark Blue with Mickey logo's in 3 colors. Said we should share the info for anyone interested. She found out about it from a friend who saw them at TJ Maxx.

You have any pictures of the luggage?

Since Marshall's and TJ Maxx tend to buy overruns or discontinued items I suspect that it might be hard to find. They luggage is by Heys and on their website they have some Disney luggage (for kids) but not what I bought! 3 different sizes-22, 26, and 30 inches tall. Hard shell type luggage!

What about at a Ross store?

Ross is not in the same family, they are slighty a notch down. TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Homegoods, and the former AJ Wright (as well as Chadwicks catalog) are owned by the same parent company, TJX (I worked at TJ Maxx for almost 4 years in high school). I would compare Ross to the former AJ Wright stores - you can still get some good stuff for a nice deal, but TJ Maxx & Marshalls carry more of the top brands.

BTW, two of our Marshalls stores had this Disney hard case luggage. We might be making a trip over there -- will have DH post pics if we go. It was cute, but we were actually going to the different Marshalls stores to add on to our new Victorinox luggage set!

Our 2 Marshalls stores had one each of those 3 sizes.

They do buy overruns & discontinued items -- that is true. However, there are some companies that actually make items just for them now.

I saw these at my Marshalls a few months ago. The pieces were really cute but I thought they were overpriced for the size/quality(had some scratches). I am thinking they cost something like 59.99, 79.99 and 99.99.

I went to TJ Maxx and Marshalls today. TJ Maxx had the $79.99 size but I really think I need the $99.99 size. They did have the soft sided bags for my kids to use as carry-ons for $39.99-- with a hard shell cover -- on wheels. It was cute and both of them one. I went to Marshalls and they had nothing.

I wouldn't exactly say that Ross is a notch down since I got the "crown" luggage there which is really hard to find and really good quality. The Marshalls and TJ Maxx that we have where I live are a mess when you go in there, everything is just thrown around and makes it really hard to find anything.

Look, I am not knocking Ross, nor debate the stores. However, they do not get the high end merch like TJ Maxx/Marshalls, such as Le Creuset cookwear, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Bahama, ads from Bloomingdales & Neiman Marcus. I am saying this from first hand knowledge. They still get nice things -- they carry some Liz Claiborne, etc. It's just different.

For us, it's the opposite. Ross stores are trashed, but our TJ Maxx/Marshalls stores are as neat as a pin (usually). I have gotten a few decent deals at Ross, too.

here they are.
