On our cruise in May, Mickey had a little "accident" and lost an eye during the sail away party. My youngest DD was a little upset. She kept asking me throughout the cruise if Mickey was ok. Our girls were right in front of the stage so they saw everything up close. My DD13 was the first to notice what happened but I had no idea what she was talking about. I was too busy taping the party. Needless to say our sail away party video is a little tainted but we still had an awesome cruise!!! My DD13 thinks it's the coolest thing ever and wants to show it to all of her friends.

Here's a clip of the beginning of the video.

I have to say that Mickey did a great job of making it as unobvious as possible... he caught it on the way down and covered! At least it would be easy to explain to kids that he must have had something fly into his eye during the party or something!

You are so right!!!! I would never had known what happened had it not been for my DDs telling me and seeing it on our video. He did such a good job at staying in character. The entire party didn't skip a beat even with Mickey leaving early.

Whoa.

Did not quite catch it the first time. Mickey was quick to cover it up and high-tailed it out of there. First time seeing something like that. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! As a kid that would have given me nightmares:scared1: It would be cool if the characters could get the new motion heads they were testing at Disneyland. I would love to hear them talk!

Wow that was amazing how he /she stayed he character! Great training and /or improv skills.

Seems to throw Minnie, Donald, Goof and Pluto off, but not Mickey...but he is the MOUSE.

Back last Sept. during Dreams (I think that was the show!) the Beasts claw caught Belle's wig and it fell to the stage. Her mic was wired on top of the cap she wears under the wig. She picked up her wig, put it back on and kept dancing. She got a thunderous applause during the curtain call! The small child sitting behind us gasped when they saw it and said, "I didn't know Belle wore a wig". The mom had a great come back by saying
Belle didn't always have time to fix her hair so quickly during the show.

Last xmas at Mickey's Very Merry Xmas Party in Magic Kingdom, we were there when Mike Wazowski's arm flew off on stage. They had to stop the show and my daughter made us stay for the next one because she didn't believe us when we told her he was fine.

All these stories crack me up because a parent has to be so quick with their responses! :rotfl2: WTG Mickey, he did a great job with the circumstance.

awe, poor Mickey, think you're right and he must have got a head start on pirates night! Great cover job though-that's a well trained mouse!

Real life example of the old saying... The show must go on.
