Mickey Fish

Not sure where to put this. I was at the pet store picking up water for my 50 gallon fresh water tank this afternoon. I was checking out the fish when I saw....Molly fish that have been bred to have black Mickey heads in their tails. I made sure they had not been injected but they were actually bred that way. So of course 3 came home with me. Mickey Goofy and Minnie now are getting used to their new home as I type.

I think they have them at Petsmart.. they are called Mickey Mouse Platy

We have these! Actually we have a LOT of these... they are very reproductive. We bought 2, it was so funny, because Dh had set up the fish tank before we went on vacation and let it to "settle" or whatever without fish, knowing that getting fish when we came back would help with the post vacation blues....
When we got back, we went to petsmart and voila, mickey fish! We bought 2, and they've had 12 babies in the last year. (we gave a bunch away to like minded disney friends!)
They are lots of fun to watch and very pretty. Their names of course are Mickey and Minnie. The babies we've kept are Donald, Goofy, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Ariel!

I had mickey fish too, but mine died 2 days after i got it. i don't think it was healthy when i get it though. I got mine at petsmart, but I've also heard they have them at petco. They look very pretty in the tank with guppy's as well.
(well all I have in mine are guppy's and platty's)
