I need some help! I am having Thanksgiving at our home this year and DD has just informed me that we HAVE :scared: to have a Mickey centerpiece on our table. I have Googled all over and can not come up with anything! I have all of the normal candles, leaves, cranberrys, gourds, pumpkins, etc...my first thought was to make Pilgrim paper dolls of Mickey and Minnie and place them in the center of the table with all the other decor scattered around them. (Of course I have NEVER made a paper doll!) I saw the image of the pilgrims and it was adorable. ANY ideas??? Does not have to be anything fancy. THANKS!!!!

What about a cornucopia thingie with plush Mickey & friends in it -
mix in the gourds and pumpkins, too!
That's my first thoughts - - - something else will probably come to me around 2-4am. Will you be up? :rotfl2:

Where are you in No Ga? I lived in Atlanta for 20 something years!

What fun! I like your pilgrim idea and I have seen them and they are adorable. An idea to "pump up" a paper doll or flat cutout would be to (1) pull it into a print program. (2) print regular and print reversed (3) glue the two sides together so it is presentable on both sides and able to be cut out in it's shape (4) hot glue or make a small cut in mini pumkins and use the pumpkins as holders. They could be random in your other stuff or used as name markers.

Disney-clipart.com had some cute Thanksgiving pictures - the Eeyore in a Turkey outfit was adorable. You could laminate and scatter on table or do the above 3-D version.

Do you have a Disney Store near you - sometimes they have the small plush in a Holiday Costume. I know I have seen M&M in Pilgrim outfits. But not sure if they have them this year.

I liked someone else's idea about Disney plush, but if you thought that was too big you could go with the smaller plastic figurines scattered in your regular Thanksgiving stuff.

Do you have any Disney beads? You could string them with cranberries and lay them on the table or hang.

Or with a perminent marker you could make little Mickey silhouette heads on some gourds.

Have fun -- I'm sure it will be great and your daughter will love it!

Oh thanks for the adorable ideas! I got the images from a gal in the Creative DISign section - she made them larger for me and they are adorable. THANKS for the idea of making them 3-D! I would not have thought of that! :thumbsup2 The odeas of the Mickey beads are precious with the cranberries! I know we have some somewhere!! DD is so ecxited and wants to puter here plush toys on the kids table with pumpkins! That was a perfect idea for them too! :yay: Drawing mickey heads on the pumpkins is way cool!

Oh - I am in Canton. 45 minutes north of Atlanta. We love it here. Humidity can be tough sometimes but for the most part it is nice. Fall is our favorite time of year! Thanks for the suggesstions! I will be putting them to good use!
