Mickey cake

I posted this before, but it disappeared! Does anyone know how much the Mickey cake is? I want to order one for our trip...we'll have first-time guests with us. Thanks.

I feel sad no one has yet answered but there is prolly much more info on the "Restaurants" board - especially if you look up at the one sticky at the top of the page...several "cake" threads are there.

Anyhow it appears that if you would like a Mickey Head cake, you could order one (48 hours advance notice) from the BoardWalk Bakery and price (at that time it was an April 2009 post that I saw) was $48.00. Don't know about tax or whatever.

I would have answered, but my info is very out of date, as the last time I purchased one was in 1996. At that time, you could pre-order it from Member Services and have it delivered to your room at any DVC resort, complete with balloons, paper plates, utensils, party hats and noise makers for $38.

That's easy enough to figure out, just apply standard Disney inflation, would be about $400 now. Plus tax.

Edit: Found this on the Disney site.. no pricing, but at least a number you can try:
"To order any custom bakery cake, call the Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 827-2253. Requires advanced reservations."

Your first post probably got moved to the Cake chatter thread on the restuarants board. I personally don't know the price but know that you can find it there. Also in one of the sticky threads there are links to many cakes that have been customed ordered as i have one there. The Cake chatter thread would probably be the best place to look for all types of prices for various cakes. Hope this helps.

I just ordered one for pickup at the Boardwalk Bakery next week. $48 +tax

You can order one by calling the cake number (407-827-2253) and choosing your location. They need at least 48 hours notice for this cake and it costs $48 at Whispering Canyon. I imagine that is the same at all locations.

Thanks for sharing the info on the cake chatter thread. I never looked at that thread before and now I'm setting myself up for a long night of looking and drooling over great cakes!!
