Mickey Bars in Bed & Dole Whips for Lunch - Nov 15 Dining Report - Complete!

Just found your trip report. Even though we have been many times in November we only got to food and wine once for one day! Looking forward to our next trip which the whole time will be food and wine. I am really wanting to spend one whole day just eating around the world without any ADR! Love all of your reviews good and bad!

Thank you for reading! I am sure you will love the Food and Wine trip! It was great just doing that for our meals all day once or twice. The first time we were there for Food and Wine we only had one day and didn't get to try nearly as much as we'd hoped. It's worth it to taste everything over the course of a few days! :)

Absolutely! I just need to convince my DH. He prefers a traditional sit down meal every evening. We might need to snack around for lunch a couple times instead if he really doesn't want to skip dinner. I am excited for the concerts too. The one time we did go during food and wine, we saw air supply and Richard Marx.

Really, really enjoyed your reviews and I'm very grateful for the info on the Chase Visa lounge. I knew it was there but didn't know you could use it as long as you had a Chase Visa, I thought it was restricted to Disney Visa cardholders. So again, thanks for this very helpful info! :thumbsup2

Ashley! Congrats on the engagement and wedding planning! Such a fun and exciting time. I told my daughter as we planned hers it was good practice for marriage as you put something together and merge differing opinions and heritages and learn how to negotiate and compromise all while on a budget with family members insisting on giving input and if you can survive that and still want to get married you're off to a good start!

I really have loved your reviews and I wanted to let you know I tried to do the carrot cake cookie copy cat and it was ok but I found some in my local grocery store bakery that were passable.

Not the same - but is anything? But good! I really enjoy your writing style! I've had a blast reading your reviews!

Thank you so much! :) You know, that has to be some of the BEST advice I have received. With my family 2 hours south of us, and his family about an hour and a half west, it is really hard to get to both as often as we would like. So I often feel guilty splitting up for holidays - we figured once we are married we will definitely do one or both, but we'll be together. It's hard to please everyone!

I'm glad you tried the carrot cake recipe, sorry they weren't as good as you'd hoped! Sometimes the effort (those ones take a bit of time) isn't worth the result when you can buy one that is just as good, lol!!!

Thanks for reading, I am glad you enjoyed it! :)

Thanks!! You are so welcome, yep, I had no idea either until I think I read about it or heard about it on a podcast somewhere. It was such a nice spot to sit down and grab a Coke. Lots of benefits too such as the wristbands for the concerts!

After dinner, we headed to Magic Kingdom to watch the parade and Wishes. We had a FP+ for Wishes (decided to try something new this time). We had accomplished so much that morning that we didn't mind just relaxing and watching the nighttime shows.

Back in June we ate at Beaches and Cream and I found love in the No Way Jose sundae. It was amazing but HUGE. I contemplated going back there on this trip but we wanted to try new places.

Peanut butter and chocolate is my favorite flavor combination, so instead of the No Way Jose, we thought we would try the All American Sundae at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street for dessert after our meal at Flying Fish.

The line to get in was wrapped around a few times outside, but it really moves quickly.

This is soooo big, and it is only one snack credit! $5.39 and you get chocolate and vanilla ice cream, peanut butter and hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, chocolate and peanut butter chips, and a cherry on top.

We could have easily shared this. Justin decided he wanted just a plain vanilla cone, so he went with a single scoop.

The Plaza is the perfect spot for a treat before the parade, or in the middle of the day. ;) I want to say Justin's cone was $3.49? Later in the trip we decided on the kids Mickey cones which are the same size, maybe a tad smaller, and you get two chocolate Mickey ears.

I rated my ice cream a solid 5. It was soooo delicious, although I know it is something you could probably get anywhere, it's a treat for me and I loved every bite. I only finished about half because I can't handle too much dairy and I didn't want my stomach to hate me.

Justin rated his cone a 3, he said it was fine but it was just a plain vanilla cone.

We watched the MSEP and afterwards, it started thundering and lightning, so we decided to call it a night!

Up next.. lunch at Yak and Yeti!

Just got started reading your review. We too had the All American Sundae recently in lieu of the No Way Jose (which we didn't have time to eat due to all the other eating) and loved it! Plus it's great eating ice cream while watching the parade or fireworks! Enjoying the review so far and looking forward to finishing after work today. :badpc:
