Has anyone done this at PPH? I think it's called 'Surf's Up with Mickey and Friends' We have done all the character breakfasts, and since this is new, were wondering if it's worth a trip? We have a 9 and 12 year old, and enjoy the photo ops at the breakfasts, as none of us are willing to wait in line at the parks...so any info would be appreciated.:goodvibes

We were there a few weeks ago. I thought it was great! It wasn't over-crowded, the character interaction was great and the food was really good. The peanut butter & chocolate chip french toast is to die for! I definitely give it a thumbs up! :thumbsup2 Here are a few of our pics:

I haven't been, but we are going in June. If you decide to go, the vouchers you can buy are a good deal for this breakfast in high season (unlike some of the other character meals). It's the same price as Goofy's brunch but you only need to buy the regular vouchers, not the premium ones, so the math works out in your favour.

Great pics!

Are you referring to the vouchers at last min travel? I didn't see PCH listed in their small print. Also....I called Disney Dining and I was told once the PCH is standard and the next told me it was premium. ugh!

I don't know if I should buy the vouchers or not!

I got them from Disney because we bought a package, and it seemed like less of a hassle for me, but I know the LMT ones are (were?) slightly cheaper still. I would assume they offer the same as Disney does, but you should check that. They mention "8 locations" at the top, but then only list two in the description :confused3, so something's not right there (but Disney's website lists 8 locations for resort dining vouchers, which is what leads me to believe they're the same). A quick email to them should clarify that.

But from Disney, PCH is regular, not premium. From their website today:

Applicable Resort Dining locations include select Character Dining or Table Service Restaurants at the Disneyland® Resort. Character Dining locations include: Plaza inn on Main Street, USA - Disneyland® Park; Celebration Roundup and Barbeque at Big Thunder Ranch - Disneyland® Park; Disney's PCH Grill - Disney's Paradise Pier® Hotel; Storyteller's Cafe - Disney's Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa. Table Service Restaurants include: Cafe Orleans - Disneyland® Park; Carnation Cafe - Disneyland® Park; Wine Country Trattoria - Disney's California Adventure® Park; Steakhouse 55 - Disneyland® Hotel.

Premium Character Dining locations include Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland® Hotel (serving breakfast, lunch and dinner) and Ariel's Grotto at Disney's California Adventure® Park (serving breakfast, lunch and dinner).

I just looked at my regular vouchers and they list PCH as one of the options. I also noticed that on LMT's website for these tickets, picture #2 is of the PCH character breakfast and picture #3 is of the Chip & Dale breakfast at Storyteller's - neither of which are on their list  - so I think it must just be a misprint.

Wow...great pics! Thanx for the quick responses... Where do you get vouchers? I've had them before when I bought a package, but never when we are just doing park hoppers... and they have always been the same price as buying the character meal in the parks...Can someone enlighten me?

If you're going in high season, the price for the PCH character breakfast at the restaurant is $29.99 for adults and $15.99 for kids, plus tax and gratuity. If you add the 15% gratuity and 8.75% tax, that comes to $37.11 for adults and $19.79 for kids.

The vouchers cost $31 adults/$16 kids each from Disney, or $27.87/$14.38 from Last Minute Travel, tax and gratuity included:

So for the PCH breakfast, it's a savings wherever you buy them. This is also true for Ariel's lunch/dinner and Goofy's dinner (meaning the fact that there's a savings with buying vouchers - not the voucher/meal prices quoted above - those are premium ones).

Why not always buy from LMT? You have to exchange what they give you for vouchers at the park, whereas Disney sends them with your package ready to go. Depending on how lazy you are (ahem, like me ) you may prefer to get them through Disney.

its a TON of fun. it's always the least crowded of all character breakfasts and, IMO, the most fun.
