A little aside...I just watched the clip of the Today Show and Meredith Viera asked Josh and Anna about their baby coming next month and he talked about "training children the right way"?! I know it's semantics and yes, that is what we do with our children sometimes, but ugh, the comments just rubbed me the wrong way, and I really like them...

I posted this on the other thread, too - - but really, they can support those kids. They have the financial means to do so, and it appears those kids are in a loving home. As a compariosn, it makes me much more sick to my stomach when I see another pregnant teenager. To me, if you're adults, can support the kids, and you're not getting assistance to do so, then you should be able to do what you want in your family. I personally can't imagine having 19 children, but I won't disparge someone else that's made that decision for themselves.

Don't you know, it's her duty as a good christian wife to always have the time and energy to give lovingly of herself to her husband.
Seriously, it's easy to find the time and energy. That's what the older kids are for. They do the "mommy/daddy duty" while mommy and daddy are busy making more...*SIGH*

Joy Anna is pretty. Jedidiah I can even get behind but Jinger (Ginger) just to stick with the J theme is a bit of a stretch!

The training up a child thing is some christian parenting thing. I think it's the Pearls but I forgot...it's disgusting They do blanket training too. You can teach discipline, obedience and God without forcing a toddler to sit still on a blanket and not move.

Look, if Michelle is 42 years old and this is her last child then she can make it to age 72 and see that her 19th child turns out to be a responsible adult. (barring any type of illness, Alzheimer's or Cancer)

Michelle looked different, but I could not put my finger on it. Was it the makeup? Has she lost weight? A different hairstyle? She looks very young, not at all like a woman in her 40's who is pregnant with her 19th!

The story that they tell is that she was on the pill for those years. She got preggo on the pill and miscarried whhich devastated them..then they wound out about hte 'risks' of BCP. They stopped using them and had Josh right away.




Who am I to judge them. They can support their kids financially, aren't abusing them. I only wish I had their strong faith in God, might make my life a lil easier to deal with.

I'm starting to get the feeling like she really has to be the center of attention? Why not wait until AFTER your son and daughter have their baby next month. Let them celebrate.
I can't believe that her doctors are all for this? How many C-sections has she had? I don't think that many.

But whatever- while the "timing and publicity" of it all is strange to me. I hope they have a happy and healthy baby.

If all this has to do with religion, why do they feel the need to be on tv announcing it and exploiting their kids. And that duggar dad creeps me out.
