What is funny is that Vick a few months ago got a job at our local Boys and Girls club as a fitness counselor-dont know the right wording, but guess he really didn't want help lead kids on the right path.

And he is going to be on 60 minutes saying that football isn't that important.

Some of the dogs were able to re abilitated and adopted by great families. the other dogs had to be put down.

He will always be a little b just like Marcus.

Michael Vick was convicted of a crime, has certainly been remorseful and served his legal punishment.

Do you all think the punishment he has received by the court system, and outside of it, considering he has lost EVERYTHING, both possessions and his reputation was not just?

His career is football, and he deserves to play.

Facebook is on fire right now with Philly fans expressing their disgust and anger.

I bleed green through the good times and bad times. But this is really unacceptable. I can't believe my team did this.

You should see my page........I would say 98% of my friends are Eagles fans. And half my pages is full of seriously, vick, are you kidding, I think I'm gonna root for the Steelers and WT*.

Everybody deserves a second chance. Have a couple beers and a hot dog, everything'll be ok.

Just curious... did you see any of the film footage of what he actually did to these helpless animals? People who employ violence against those who are defenseless i.e animals, children, the handicaped, and the elderly.... are sick and twisted individuals. And for you to trivilize Sick Vick's actions is nauseating:mad:

Ya know, I know what you are saying....however, what he did was a felony crime. How easy would it be for you or I to get a job (even if we were superb at it) w/ a felony record. It's b.s. (not flaming you at all....just my .02 cents also ;)

Ohhh, pleeeze...he "served his time" and all should be forgiven:rolleyes: ********. This man is an absolute disgrace and for someone to suggest I have a hotdog and a beer and forget it is an ***. BTW this sarcasm isn't directed at you, you get that right :)

He lost his reputation all on his own. Are we supposed to feel sympathetic? He was remorseful that he got caught... I've yet to see anything else.

We aren't talking about the legal system. We can, but that would be a different thread.

There are plenty of people who DESERVE to play who aren't. Kevin Everett deserves to be playing. Just because Vick decided to be a football player doesn't automatically mean he deserves to play.

The team and the league can do what they want. The fans don't have to be happy.

He doesn't "deserve" to play. It's a privlege not is right, and what he "deserves" is to pay for his choices in life. Yes, criminally he's done his time and I don't think he should be in jail any longer, he's served his sentence, but again it's a privlege to have a career that you love, not a right. He should go out and get a regular job, preferrably one that doesn't have ppl. looking at him as a role model or one that has kids looking up to him. It's not his giving right to have a career in football, it was a privlege, that yes, he blew forever (should be) for making the kind of criminal disgusting choices that he did. I'm disgusted:sad2:

I completely agree.

He's served his time and he hasn't been banned from the game. A team felt that he would help their team win, so they hired him. If he works out, they'll keep him around.

If people decide to no longer be fans of the team, that's their option. I don't understand taking that position, but whatever.

Let's see....He still has his house, and worldly possessions. Still has friends AND just got a job in the career of his choice. I live in the land of Vick. if he'd have lost EVERYTHING I'd have heard about it. And I'm pretty sure if I were convicted of the felonies he was that nobody would be rushing to hire me in any career.

So what should he or any other felon who served their time be allowed to do for a job? Pick up trash from the side of the road? Scrub floors? If he did his time, changed his ways, and is remorseful and now out telling people to not do what he did (he was just at a Human Society function in Chicago a day or two ago) then I'm fine with him getting a second chance.

I just think he's a bad quarterback and not sturdy enough to play any other position and therefore not worth having on your team. :thumbsup2

What I thought this might be a joke!:scared1: I am soooo :mad:PISSED about this!!What is Jeffery Lorrie thinking? I am donating all my eagles stuff to goodwill. I will not buy one ticket. Hope they lose every game!!!

Most ppl. can't keep/get a job they want as a convicted felon. I'm a paralegal, and nope absolutely no way I'd be able to keep my job as a convicted felon, neither could my da's, neither could teachers, police officers...the list goes on and on. I agree, I think he wasn't a very strong player to begin with and so I'm hoping he'll phase out asap, but still just the principle; that he could go back to a career that he loves, and makes millions doing when in most other career's that wouldn't happen,it's pretty disgusting, especially when you top it off with him now being a "sports figure" again and having kids looking up to him.
