I can totally understand what you are saying and I take my vows seriously too. I can never say how I would handle what he did, though. Because I have not woken up day after day, year after year, visiting my husband with "Hello honey, how are you today", with no response, no communication, nothing. No laughter, no acknowledgement of my presence...just nothing.

Thinking of that is what keeps me from judging his actions. I just have never walked a mile in those shoes, thank God.

You are very right, well said. I am trying not to judge his actions, that is not for me to do. As I relate it to my personal life, I think I have a tough time with his choices, but as you mentioned, thank God, I have never had to walk a mile in in shoes. If, God forbid, someday I was faced with a similar situation, I think I would have to rely on my faith to get me though it and remain true to my marriage vows, for better or worse, 'till death do us part.

Well if there is ANYTHING good to have come out of this , it is that we all have learned the point that EVERYONE should DEFINATLY get a living will.

If God forbid that ever happened to me, I would NEVER want to live as vegitable WITH people fighting over me... Please pull the plug and let me go to a better place, because you wouldn't even let your pet dog go through such agony... :guilty:
