I finally found the pic and maybe it's him and maybe it's not. The chest looks awfully muscled. I dunno, though...advanced photo-shopping software can do amazing things. I wouldn't believe it unless some people who were at this party speak up about it.

But then they'd have to admit they were there and partaking too (at least in a second-hand way) and *THAT* isn't gonna happen. This event supposedly took place in November and its just now coming out?!?

And I know I probably should care, but I don't.

Its the news of the world not even worth sticking at the bottom of a cat litter tray, just ignore it. Its trash and probably not even true, they do tend to get sued a fair bit.

Ignore it? I don't think the companies who pay Michael Phelps millions of dollars to endorse their products are going to ignore it. The fact that his agent isn't returning calls isn't a good sign.

For me, as long as his drug tests during competition times comes out clean, I really don't care. If this story is true, it was really stupid of himself to be photographed doing it.

Innocent or guilty, they are probably figuring out the best way to handle the situation.

Until a reputable source can PROVE this has happened, I CHOOSE to believe he is innocent.

Phelps is an adult and choosing to do something stupid. I'm not convinced that it's him in the photo and if it is- tell your son what a moron move that is. That's all you can do.

I don't know if it's Phelps or not and you would have to do extensive searching to find someone that cares less. That said, there is nothing about the picture that makes me say...Hey, that's Michael Phelps! Nothing about it resembles him in profile or anything. How can they say that is him. Like I said, don't know, don't care, but it is curious to me.

Yup, I agree, that is all you can do. I'm sure we'll hear about this if it is him. It doesn't look like him to me but who knows with photoshop and/or different angles. My nephew has a lot of friends at USC, I going to see if anyone there is talking about this.

Someone who witnessed one of the largest figures in sport smoking dope won't come forward because they may have to admit to second-hand smoke inhalation? You would have to beat those witnesses off with a stick. Fame is a powerful draw....

I was going to comment on that watch...it looks awfully "girly" to me. That thin strap and all. So, if he wears a watch like that, that could be the giveaway. And if that is so, that watch doesn't seem to match his other tastes but oh well, that's his choice. This doesn't really matter to me as no one here idolizes like a swimmer probably would. I see your concern, Olaf, and since pot is illegal, that is what bothers me for the young man himself. Those lungs are important to him, he should not be putting them at risk!

OK, after looking at the other photos of him in that watch it doesn't look so girly to me. The angle in the the mystery photo makes the band look slimmer.

Michael Phelps is a spokesperson for some big name companies. There would have been some denials issued.

I'm still hoping it's not true, but my gut is telling me otherwise.

Of course, if it's the Enquirer, it has to be true

That doesn't even look remotely like him. As for the watch, the watch in that photo has thinner straps than the ones in the rest of Michael Phelps' photos.
