Our dates are set and we aren't flexible on them at this point so I am watching airfares on Southwest. Right now they are $119 and $114, do you think they will drop? They have remained at this price consitently since the pricing opened. This is our only trip this year so I really don't want the credit, I really want to pay less from the get go!

What are your dates? I found fairly good prices from Logan to MCO, and ended up booking it even before Southwest came out. Southwest hasn't had really incredible prices out of Manchester lately

I got tired of waiting so I booked with Directair and used the 50% off code that expires tonight.

$464.80 for 4 of us to fly RT.

I feel your pain, I also was looking for airfare out of MHT to MCO and back for my family that lives in Manchester. Nothing was coming down. Even with adding Flightline in, BOS was cheaper. I got airfare for $165 RT pp.

ugh, this is not encouraging. We are going in Aug. so I was hoping it I waited a little longer it would drop.

I am going in Sept. and was able to get $94.00 flights from Manchester on Southwest. Didn't think that was to bad, but still hoping I may get a DING.

When I went last October I bought my tickets the day they opened and they never dropped. Lately I've found the deals have been better out of Boston over MHT. We traveled in January (cruise) and for April vacation (US/IOA) and both times ended up flying out of Boston instead of Manchester because it was so much less expensive. In April SW out of Manchester would have been over $200 each way. I got $74/each way out of Logan on US Air going down and Continental coming back.

I'm having the same problem for flights out of CT in August. The prices they want are outrageous. So, I'm waiting, hoping one of the airlines will run a sale before August. Thankfully, I've got several airports/airlines to choose from so I'm not worried about everyone selling out.

I have been looking for tix from Columbia, SC or Florence, SC to San Francisco in August. Lowest I could find was 282 r/t until yesterday. I booked whole trip with taxes and everything for 199 r/t from Florence. Not too bad for coast to coast tix. I have read that the best sale fares come out at 12:01 am on Wednesdays. Maybe keep checking fares as early as possible on Wednesdays?

Is there any other airline that flies out of the airport you want to leave from? I know Delta, American, and United have big sales right now.

Yeah, I've been watching MHT-MCO as well, It did drop for my dates (late June, early July), but only to the $119. We just sucked it up--no way were we driving into Boston. We might consider Hartford next time, though. We don't have a ton of flexibility, though, and with little kids, a direct flight is worth a few extra bucks.

I'm flying from PVD to MCO on Southwest in August and finally booked when the fares dropped to $107 each way. I didn't get the early morning flight I wanted but that flight has been at $139 for months and only goes higher.
Historically, Dings for my August flights don't come out until July.

I'm with you! MHT-MCO RARELY has deals :(. I guess we are too darned far north!! I paid the above prices for our Aug trip. I would love to see them go down...'cause I'm sure I can find a use for the credit! :)

Instead of driving into Boston we either park at PreFlight in Chelsea and take their free shuttle to and from the airport or do the park, stay, fly and leave our car at the hotel and take the free shuttle. Last time we stayed at the Days Inn in Saugus, which was fine for a night. It was cheaper to rent the hotel room for the night and leave our car there than parking fees would have been.

We got our SW October flights for $197/person RT which is the cheapest it's been out of this area for the last couple of trips we took to MCO

I guess I'll wait a few more days and maybe just book them at $119....it just kills me, I really want it closer to $200 total.

If we were to look closer at Logan (and we might, next trip), we would probably take a shuttle service from here down to Boston. I priced them for this trip, but we have an 11 am flight out of MHT, Dh doesn't mind the drive (from Keene), and parking isn't too pricey.

There are 6 of us, so it would be 2 hotel rooms. I did look into that option, but we went with the later flight instead.

I will definitely be looking at different airports next time around. We only moved to NH last summer, I'm still getting a feel for things, like choices in airports. Funny how I adjuste dto the "no sales tax" thing really quickly, though!

When I'm checking flights I check Manchester, Boston, Worcester, Providence, Hartford, Portland and Burlington (2-3 hour radius of Nashua, where I live). We have a family of 6 so saving on airfare can really add up if all of us are traveling. Usually we end up flying either out of Manchester or Boston as the savings aren't good enough to go too far away, but once the tickets out of Hartford were $200/pp less than any of the other airports. For $1200 in savings I'll drive 2 hours (and so will DH).

Same here and I've been hoping the same thing. 1800.00 for the 7 of us as of today........
We'll be flying out of Manchester also. I checked Boston but I REALLY want a non-stop flight.

We're going in September and I booked my trip from MHT at about the price it is now. We didn't get the earliest flight which is our favorite because it wasn't available as a rapid rewards seat and I have a free ticket I want to use. So we are taking the later non-stop down.

I've priced out of Boston and I've never found a direct flight that was enough cheaper for me to bother with driving that far and paying the higher parking. Its 2 1/2 hours to Manchester for us. Portland ME is actually closer but Jet Blue and Air Tran just don't have the same convenient flight times or direct flights that we can get on Southwest out of MHT.

They have dropped the earliest flight - we used to leave MHT around 6 am and we were at WDW in time for lunch. But we did spend the night before those flights in a hotel. Leaving later we'll probably save on the hotel and meals on the night before.
