When I was there last I noticed boats from MGM that supposedly go from MGM to the ressorts at Epcot.

Is this a good solution to take the boat to International Gateway, for dinner ADRs at Epcot? I am trying to save time getting there since when I took the busses last time, I had to wait for 45 minutes.

Please share your experiences.

FYI - I will be going in early October.

The boats make 3 stops between MGM & Epcot - Swan/Dolphin, Yacht & Beach Clubs, and Boardwalk (maybe not that order).

We've used the boats often.

You can also walk from MGM to Epcot. Many have posted that walking is actually quicker than the boat since it makes stops.

We've only walked from Boardwalk to Epcot, and Beach Club to Epcot, never MGM to Epcot. They were nice walks.

We have never walked all the way from the Epcot International Gateway to the Disney Studios but have walked to both from the Boardwalk Inn. I love walking but our trips have been during the summer when it's too hot to really enjoy extra walking. I can tell you the walking will always beat the Friendship boat. The total run time from Epcot to the Studios is about 30 minutes. The three stops slow you down and the Swan/Dolphin only has one dock so sometimes a boat coming in will have to wait for the one already there to depart. The boat ride is nice and relaxing, but if you are in a hurry you can walk from one park to the other in about 20-25 minutes.

The boat will take about 25-30 minutes from the Studios to the International Gateway....with the three stops. And that is providing the boat is ready to leave as you get on..otherwise it can add another 10 or so minutes waiting for the boat to arrive and then fill up in order to leave.
We walk it for the most part. It is a very nice, safe walk, along the canel. When you reach Boardwalk, after about 15 minutes of walking, head to the right, follow the actual boardwalk, over the canal, take another right, and you're at the Gateway..total of about 18-20 minutes. It's nice as long as it isn't raining or too hot/humid.
