MGM on Dec 10

Does anyone know why MGM closes at 7 pm on Dec 10 when the rest of the week it closes at 8 pm? Does it have anything to do with Pop Warner? We are planning on going that day but if it is going to be really busy I want to change days. Please help.

My neighbor is there for Pop Warner cheerleading that week, and she had mentioned MGM being reserved for the cheerleaders one night.

I think they have a special party for the cheerleaders that night- I think it is after hours. We were planning on MGM that day/night too- but are considering changing. Has anyone been there when this was going on. Is the park packed before it closes - cheerleaders coming in early?

I hope they let us stay for Fantasmic. I have a dinner package for the 10th, and Fantasmic is scheduled for 7pm. I'd sure be disappointed if they kicked us all out right before the show.

I just checked the Disney site because we are planning on being in MGM on the 10th too. It looks like Fantasmic is at 6pm now. So you'd better check on your dinner time PS. This was to be our only day/evening at MGM, this really will mess us up. Oh well, nothing I can do but try to enjoy anyway! I am excited to see the new parade!

We've got a 4:00 PS at Brown Derby, so if there's no wait we shouldn't be TOO rushed. WIth the package at least we ought to be able to get seats without having to arrive too early. Well, like you said, worst case at least we'll get to see the parade (just barely).

I am so upset about this. It is our only night as well for MGM and have 50's ps at 5:35. No way to see fantasmic at 6pm

I think it is because it is my birthday and they are going to be celebrating, lol. Ahhhh wishful thinking. I had wanted to be at WDW for my birthday but will have to wait until February. Not that I am complaining.....
