my granddaughter just discovered tv..she'll be 2 1/2 when we visit...she loves little einsteins but except mickey and minnie and the pooh gang, not a lot of disney "folk" ...so i wonder what shows are at mgm for really little kids...she likes blues clues and dora but i don't think either of them are disney . has anyone taken kids that age to say little mermaid or beauty and even if they don't get the plot is there enough action to keep them from getting bored?

WE took my twins when they were 2. They loved the Playhouse Disney show, Voyage to the Litte mermaid, Muppet 3-d. I also liked how the backlot was not super packed so they could walk around without having to worry about bumping into people.

Just recently went with our 2yo and he loved MGM!! We actually ended up returning just to see the characters again. The Playhouse Disney show is wonderful. It is a wonderful show. You do have to sit in the floor with your kids but it is very upbeat and interactive. It features Bear in the Big Blue House, Stanley, Pooh, JoJo, etc. We saw this show twice. Our DS really didn't know a lot of the other characters either but got to know them during our visit. He loved the Toy Story characters at the greeting area, we had never even seen the movie, but ended up wanting a Buzz birthday party when we got back. There are a lot of charachter greeting ops here, which was DS's favorite part. He also enjoyed the Muppet 3D movie. :thumbsup2

DD 4 loved Playhouse Disney though she never watches it on TV. She was bored half to death with Beauty and the Beast.

dd (4) loved Playhouse Disney and Little Mermaid. But she is also and adventerous one and like star wars and even thought about ToT.

I would have her see some movies like Little Mermaid, some Muppets movies, Beauty and the Beast just so she can identify and want to see other stuff.
