MGM Character Meal Update Thread

I just spoke to a good-natured, helpful CM!! He told me he could give me a hint--"keep your eyes and ears OPEN" but that he couldn't tell me any more or he'd get fired! Yeah, right!

Anyway, he confirmed the following: bfast and lunch, h & w, and toy story. At the very end...he said keep your eyes and ears open at the end of the month. But, I don't know if that means I can make an ADR at the end of the month for a later trip (my trip is 4/1-4/7) or if the restaurant will be open for the meal at the end of the month! He wouldn't say any more!

Thought I'd just dump a little more fuel on the fire! Here's hoping that my kids will get to experience it in April!!

He said lunch too?? That would be wonderful, I'd much rather add another lunch than another breakfast to our plans. Guess we'll just have to keep waitin' and seein' (are those words ?)

I might be a loaner, but I sure hope that they use the toy story characters when they do this. My kids didn't ger into the incredibles that much.

Since there was a casting call for the character of Sarge, I definitely think there will be Toy Story characters there or the casting of that particular character wouldn't make since.

OK, I have hopefully an update. I will be able to post something tomorrow maybe, but I read a post in where the poster "quoted" something about the meal. I don't know where he got the quote from though. I have asked him to post a link. If he does, I will find it and see if it's an official quote. Sure did sound like a Disney quote.

A few hints to tide you over, things we already know, but if this quote is legit, will confirm: Breakfast and lunch, definately Pixar-based.

OK, it appears that the quote most likely came from the Disney Cast Portal, which of course we cannot access and I am not going to be able to quote. However, I think I can give you some key words and you can piece it all together. Sounds alot like what the CM told the above poster today as well.

I just got off the phone with a CM and she said she knows about the rumor, but as of now they don't have any information on the new charactor meal at MGM. She did tell me to check the Disney website often, and she asked me if I had a "code" or had seen it in a special mailing? I'm not sure what that meant, any ideas?

What do you think the food will be like at lunch? Will it be similar to the dinner offerings? Just trying to decide if we want lunch or breakfast.

Does anyone know how it works switching between breakfast and lunch (like at the Crystal Palace at MK)?

Do they clear out the restaurant at a certain time and then start seating for lunch?

Or do they just move from breakfast to lunch while people are still there? AND if they do this, is it possible to book a time that you get to try both the breakfast foods AND the lunch foods?

I am quite sure they would clear everyone out - this would allow them to charge for both breakfast and lunch
