MGM Character Meal Update Thread

That's 2 days too late for us, too! I'm still hoping they'll shoot to open at least by Memorial Day weekend!

I don't want to start a major uproar here, but has anyone tried to book LUNCH at H&V recently? Just lunch, no mention of characters? I just read a post in which the person said they already booked lunch for late June, so that way, if the characters appear, they already have their reservation!

Anyone want to give it a try and see what happens?

Even though I don't have any little boys, I still can't wait for the possibility of a Toy Story Meal!! How fun will that be?!?!! Oh well, I guess I will just have to plan ANOTHER trip to Disney! Darn!

I tried yesterday so i could be safe and have it if it happened. They said that that H&V was only dinner right now. I asked also if it wasn't a rumor and if it started i had heard that H&V wouldn't be fantasmic anymore and she said "if" it started it would be lunch and breakfast and that wouldn't affect dinner.

It would be nice to hear something. I'm going in Nov for my son 5th birthday and he would love to go to a buzz breakfest or Lunch. My just have to book lunch one day at H&V.

Hi everyone! Another Dis'er has graciously offered to help me out with this thread. I really never thought that we would be waiting and posting this long! Just adding my experience. Just got off the phone making my ADR's (got everything I wanted ) but when they ask if you had any other questions, I figured it couldn't hurt. So I asked if the CM had heard the rumors about a character breakfast at MGM. Her response was that yes she heard the rumors, but there is nothing official so she really doesn't know anything. She was really nice but seemed a little irritated with my question, as if she's been answering it all day.

I have been straddling the fence for months about whether I should spend the money this summer for a WDW vacation. I keep flip-flopping about whether or not I should spend the money on more practical things.....UNTIL I stumbled across this thread a few days ago...LOL!
If this character meal becomes a reality, I will officially be off the fence! My DS would absolutely love this meal, we will be in WDW with bells on!!!

I have been calling each morning also, and each day this week I have had the CM put me on hold after I ask about the new meal at MGM, then come back and say "not yet!". I'm hoping that this means that it is getting closer to fruition and it will be any day now... keeping my fingers crossed!!
