I posted the article--the amount of resources spent on illegals--comes out of our federal income taxes. We pay for it. My taxes--should be for the benefit of the citizens of the United States, myself, and those here legally.

How does allowing illegals--achieve any of this?

Actually I wasn't complaining at all. For someone with a legitimate emergency--they should be treated--absolutley. But for every legimate and illegimate emergency that is presented by an illegal alien--the consumer who supposedly has the ability to pay--has to pay much more for that same treatment. And if they are supposed to have the ability to pay, but cannot--they can lose their home, damage their credit, and may have to declare bankruptcy.

However--I don't think innocence really was indicated in your post and it was more a snipe against me when it really wasn't necessary.

Actually, the article you posted stated statistics for families in the US HEADED by an illegal alien. However, if a child was born here in the US, that child IS a US citizen...entitiled to all the rights thereof. If the parents were to take that child back to Mexico to raise, we'd be sending more than the deficit between their income here and what they "need" here to them in Mexico to care for that child.

The same thing that the United States does for every starving country in the world. We feed them. Lets "feed" them in their own country. Let Vincente Fox figure out how to improve his economy and trade without relying on the resources that he can "steal" across the boarder.

Until the US Surpreme Court allows the Bible to become a legal resource...it is irrelevant for the discussion. Just as it is irrelevant in other threads .

The line has to be drawn somewhere, doesn't it? We can't afford to take care of every single poor person in the world and encouraging people to come here to be taken care of is going to ruin us. America provides an amazing opportunity for people to become citizens or legal residents and get an education and a better life for themselves. Sure, it's a long road, but anything that's worth it usually is.

All prosperous countries give money to not-so-prosperous countries to help their citizens. That's how we help the global community.

Again, many Americans receive emergency care and don't pay for it, either. Are you saying that life saving emergency care sould be received only if one has the ability to pay?
