Hey Kraash! My son just turned 17 & I'm sure the two of them would meet on board, but he would love to start meeting teens on the trip now. He's a good boy...no reason to start cleaning the gun, . Hes still good friends with a lot of the kids from our Magic cruise in 09.
Have an 8 year old daughter too....she thinks she's 15, (God help us)!

We've decided on the Las Caletas excursion in PV. Also, DD will be doing the dolphin Kids and we're going to watch...we did it in Nassau, before she was a thought, with her brother. Also, DH and I will be at Palo for brunch, dinner & I'm doing high tea all by my peaceful self, while he sleeps by the pool...

Where is Tweet? Wanna get those FEs going ... Not a big worry, as we'll be changing rooms anyway. My DH was originally not coming along, but has since had a change of heart and will be closing the deal next week. So they are going to move us into a room for 4-5 instead.
DD made her paper chain yesterday to make the countdown easier to understand! Turned out cute and we marked appropriate holidays and no school days with Mickey heads first thing she did this morning was run down the stairs to tear one ring off! So fun

Anyone done the pirate ship excursion? I am sure my 7-year-old will love it, but wondering about my big kids.

I was at the gym yesterday and it turned out that the guy on the treadmill next to me just got off our ship two weeks ago! He gave me a small trip report, as we were both eager to get our workouts over...(he was working on losing the 10lbs he gained on board, and I'm just working on losing the 10lbs im sure to gain! laughing. Anyhow, weather was great, water was cold...but hey it was December, ours should be really nice, and THE PIRATE SHIP EXCURSION was well worth it regardless of age. They had a blast, but it was his first and last cruise as the seas were a lil choppy and he got pretty sick. I tried to talk him into another, but the guy still hasn't got his sea legs back!

I'm wondering if we are going to be fighting HUGE Spring Break Crowds???

She may be pleasantly surprised with how adorable he is & how much he IS NOT a creeper! He's very into music. Likes to dance. Makes friends easy. They'll meet up one way or another!

I just PM'd Tweet. Hope they are still on board with us. We'll get a jump on FEs soon, and if they have jumped ship, I could try gathering the FE info...I've never done it, but seems fun enough

We are planning to do this one (can't book it yet, as we are first time cruisers so waiting for that 75 day mark next week) with our 11 and 8 year olds. All reports I've seen about it have been very positive, so we are excited!

So excited to be going on another Disney cruise! We heard about the fish extender and would love to be a part of it. Our kids are 15, 11 and 7. Any other Minnesotans on this trip??

Can you please give me names and ages of children with cabin number if your still interested in the FE?

We will be joining you for spring break, too! We finally told the girls (13 & 10) on Christmas morning, so now I can start really making plans - it was way too hard to make plans AND keep the secret.

This will be the first cruise any of us has ever been on. I am thrilled ... and overwhelmed. But I want to do it 'right' - So, fish extender? sure, tell me where to sign up! Other girls who've already been surprised? Let's get them chatting!

What else am I missing?

This is our first FE...why didn't I know about these on our last 2 cruises!! Anyway, do we deliver gifts daily or once during the cruise? It seems overwhelming if there are more than 20. Would someone mind giving me a quick tutorial??

I'd love a little quick tutorial on the FE, as well. With this being a surprise for the kids, I'm not sure I can swing it having to do it all in secret, but I'm still considering it.

Is anyone thinking of doing a meet on the first day? I have no idea how to organize that, either, (it's painfully obvious that I'm a newbie at this, isn't it?) but I'd love to come and meet you all and have the boys meet some other kids as the cruise starts!

Ok, some did FE's on our last trip in 2009 and will continue on EVERY TRIP! Its so fun to come back to the cabin and just randomly find goodies!
The fish extender is basically a hanging goodie/mail holder that you put outside your cabin on the little mounted fish that disney has conveniently placed outside each cabin. You can make your own or some folks go to ebay and buy them thru the crafty gals there. Im pretty crafty with liquid stitch so i made my own, Ill try to post a pic...

As far as what & how much to bring per family, thats up to you. Some people just bring one little goodie for each family. Some bring a treat for each person in the room which is why we list name, ages and any celebrations. Some personaliize them and or get crafty and make disney themed gifts and others go thru places like oriental trading and get tattos & candy n stuff.
Delivery can be daily or in one shot. I like to deliver on sea days. Sometimes CMS even put a little something in them and for sure Disney will put your mail there.
You can google "Fish Extenders" and you'll get lots of ideas on what to put in them and probably the dimensions too.
As far as meeting up...How abut before mustering at one of the lounges? 3pm. after eating.
Promenade lounge or at the bar up on deck?
