Mexican Riviera July 20, 08...Hola Amigos

Thank you so much, Vern, Laura and Kerri, for trying to get us organized! :thanks:

Personally, my preference would be to meet before or after the Sail Away party, just because it's hard to know what will be going on that first sea day. But we will make time whenever works best for everyone. :cool1:

Fish extender - I'm not sure I can handle 7 trips around the ship to deliver gifts; it'll be like Laura's hiking excursions! :rotfl: :rotfl: Maybe everyone could deliver 3 (or 4) different nights during the cruise? Whichever days are best for them? That should spread things out. Just a suggestion.:)

For anyone who's looking for more designs for their stateroom door, Liz (giz89) made the one below from a template on another thread. She was kind enough to let me share it :flower3:

Thank you, Thank you.... Vern, Laura and Kerri for getting all of this organized. It is almost hard to believe that we are down to 51 days!!!!!

As far as the meet we are in for whenever is best for the majority. We'll be on Island Time......no worries.....vacation!!!!! Just tell us when and where! We are so excited to be a part.

On to the Fish Extenders......just an idea:idea: Split the families participating in the FE Exchange into two groups and the groups alternate nights...ie...Group 1 would do Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Group 2 would do Monday, Wednesday & Friday and then everyone could do the Finale' last day.....just an idea......we are game for anything! :woohoo:

GREAT IDEAS! I personally like the "2 groups" idea, that way we're not overwhelmed with all that "hiking":yay: For the first day they will be boarding us early then the "Fire vest check" ( I like to call it) around 3:30pm Leaving port no later than 4:30pm. Depending on what is going on with other "Dis'ers I would like to meet on deck 10 in front of the ship. That way we (Laura and I) can hand out the FE rooms and info for meets during the cruise. And anything else that needs to be discussed. Sound OK?

I like the two group idea too. 3 days of running around the ship sounds good, although I probably will need to run around the ship 3 times all 7 days because I ate too much:rotfl2:

Just let me know when and where to meet

Hi all.
The count down is underway :cool1: Thanks Vern and Laura for getting everything orginized. On the FE, I thought that everyone just went around and left a small gift on a day of there choosing. But, this is our first cruise so we are new to this. :confused3 . Just let us know what the plan is.

51 Days until we are on the cruise.:woohoo:

Meet on Deck 10 before or after the Sail-A-Way? Either way sounds good::yes::

My preference is to distribute gifts 2-3 times during the cruise.....so either all members 2-3 times, or split into groups. Just thinking that it could be difficult to hit all the dates that we are in ports as I think we'll be busy.

As for a meeting time.....I was going to start in the spa around 4:30pm that first date as it is the only appointment I can get right now for what I want....but still trying to get some different appointment times. We didn't book 105 or 90 or even 75 days out since we hadn't even booked the cruise yet.....that means no Palo and pretty bad times, if any, for spa appointments. I was hoping not to run to the port and have to run to get everything changed when we get on board.....just is stressful since we have a room at Disneyland and would like to get to the port when we are ready......instead of rushing. However, given the things I've been unable to get reserved online, perhaps it will be necessary. I keep checking things out though.

I do prefer to meet the first day of the cruise at sailaway (just before or after). Sounds as good of a time is any. We will hopefully have early dinner seating (another thing I need to run onto the ship to resolve......we are in late seating now).......so hopefully by 6pm or so we'll be in the dining room that first night.

Hey Kathy,
Just to ease your mind, they will have other times set aside for folks that didn't get to book anything online. ( Palo's, Spa,and excursions) You will have to go to Guest Services when you get onboard. Not sure about dinner seating, but I'm pretty sure you will be able to change that. Lots of people will be trying to change things when they get onboard.:furious:
DCL tries to make everyone happy. (It's the Disney Way)
Also, if your staying at Disneyland the night before, They will have a shuttle that is set to take ALL guest to the port at the same time. ( at least thats what they did in 2005) You might want to call the hotel and ask them if the shuttle will run anytime you need or want to leave? OK?
I sure hope this helps you? Vern

OK folks, sorry have been sick for the last week. Ended up going to the doctors office on Friday where he but me on antiboitics. I'm hoping that by tomorrow, I wll start to feel better.

Anyway, the reason for my post, I have heard through the grapevine that there's been some questions about FE (Fish Extender) gifts. I just wanted to post a couple of pictures of some samples of FE gifts I recently received on the WB P(Westbound Panama Canal cruise). Please keep in mind that we had over 1 year to prepare and some folks really went all out. Please do not feel like you are obligated to do something like this. We got many, many gifts of a small candy bag, some lollipops and simple yet very appreciated gifts.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to post and I will try to answer them.

Here's one:

Ok Its late and I haven't really rested as today was a relapse day. Hopefully I can post more here tomorrow.

Good night folks - off to catch some zzzzzz's I hope. If this dang cough lets me that is.

Thanks for the pictures and the ideas, Laura :thanks: Hope you feel better soon.

We cruise next month! (So happy to be able to say that :) )

Hi guys,

just dropping by to see if anyone has posted. Just had enough strength to walk the furr kids and now I'm beat. Guess I shouldn't have taken on too much.

But hey - on the bright side - I :lovestruc the sound of we're cruising next month. Is anyone getting excited? :yay: :dance3:

Hi Everybody,

I just got back from Disneyland as we celebrated my DD B-day. It was pretty crowded the last couple of days. We stayed at the GC and this morning I saw a family wearing Navy Blue Hoodie type sweaters that said Mexican Riviera on the front and the name of the Ports on the back. They were really nice. I hope they have them when we board because I'm ready to buy. I have so much going on since I just spoiled my DD this weekend and the First week of July she is going to France with her school. DD convinced the Counselors to let the group go to DL Paris on one of the free days. Then we cruise after that. Mucho dinero (alot of money) is at stake here. :worried:

Take care all !!
