You wont get to go to your stateroom until the afternoon as soon as they start boarding they will usher you into the dining for lunch. Please remember that the ship pulls into port that morning and they have to clean and replenish their supplies. We will be held in the terminal for check in. I hope this helps.

Hey Vern...thanks for the email with the door magnet. I wasn't able to save it in a size large enough to print clearly. Is there anyway you can post on the board for me? I seem to be able to copy those images and play with them without distorting the picture.

Thanks so much.

Hey Vern...

I was looking thru the thread and I was able to find the image of the door sign. I am good to go.

Thanks again for making the sign. :yay:

Okay....I've been excited and anxiously waiting for July 20th but now it is official.....I saw the big MAGICal ship pass by the Two Palms Web Cam and on her way to LA!!! The count down is now on..

We've been reading this thread for awhile - thought it was time to join the fun! I'm DlandFan's sister. My DH, DD, age 9, and I will be cruising across the hall from my sister, mom and nephew.

DH and I went on a three day cruise to Mexico years ago - otherwise, we're all new to cruising and very excited about this trip. I made DH get up early, early in the morning the day the West Coast cruises went on sale to book. What seemed like a very long time when we booked is finally almost here. :cool1:

My DD is excited to be traveling with my nephew, but would like to meet other girls her age on the ship too.

The boards have given us great information. Thanks for all the help!

Couting down... :woohoo:

I got a letter that said.... that everyone must be onboard no later then 4:00pm because LA harbor requires that the ship must sail at 4:15pm. The mandatory safety drill is scheduled for 3:00pm.

It's a beautiful day here in So. Cal. and I would like to wish ALL you Mothers out there a VERY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY. For if it wasn't for you we would not have Father's Day next month.:lmao: Seriously, have a great day, and guys we all know that everyday is Mother's Day. Right! Thank you Ladies!

Thank you, Vern, for the Mother's Day wishes! :sunny: I'd also like to thank you for the tip on buying the Passporter. I got mine yesterday and am halfway thru it already. Great information.

:welcome: Welcome to the group, DustBunny (love that user ID :) )

Mickeys#1Fan4ever - Yay, another member of the fish extender group! :cool1: Anyone else want to join? You can check out kveens' explanation below of what it is and let Robin (Got Disney) know if you'd like to participate so she can add your name to the list on pg 1.

I am a first-time cruiser, but from what I can tell by reading the cruise board, to participate in fish extender exchanges, we hang a cloth item http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=fish+extender&category0= with pockets by our stateroom door on the fish that is there to hold notes. I think it is like a giant fish clip. We determine the number who want to participate and their party make-up (adults, kids, etc). We then bring items (little gifts) to put in the pockets of the fellow DIS'ers who are participating. The items would be things our city or state are known for, items to make pirate night more fun, items that would be helpful but might be overlooked, our just cool little items that are fun to have.

The benefits of participating are the exercise of walking up and down the different deck corridors looking for fish extenders to put items into (burns off some of those extra calories) and the surprises you get in your own extender when you return to your room.

pixiedust: Welcome DustBunny. We are going to have a GREAT time. It will be here befor we know it.

Okay, so about four days ago I wrote this nice long note to everyone one..thanking Vern for the door sign, wanting to fo the FE, welcoming the new people, etc. And then the baby decided she wanted to help me and I lost the whole thing. So I decide that I had already taken too much out of my day and need to come back later...so here I am.:dance3:

Vern--my kids (and I) want to know...do you still work at Disneyland? We have annual passes..only 6 hours and 15 minutes from my house! But my DH has put me on restriction until the cruise.:sad2: But I am sure I can make it before:rolleyes1 . Maybe we have seen you. I tell my family when they are all grown I am moving and working at Disneyland. I just love it! But for now :laundy: :teacher: , etc.

I think I read in our group that someone also has a teen and a little nervouse about the activites. My son is 14 but has never been old enough to join the teens. I am a little nervouse too but it seems like they have fun activities planned...if the teens do them. My son had a great time with the programing when he was younger and I am sure he will participate with the teens. I know that on port days that he is my adventure buddy, so he and I will go exploring. My husband has no desire to get off the boat but I think I have convinced him to at least walk around for an hour or so. ---Bad experience in Mexico before and he hates the heat.:scared:

I am so excited to meet all of you. We are going to Canada at the end of this week so I will not be able to check in for a week...but when I get back I will be in full planning mode. I already found some great things for the FE!

Also, is anyone into scrapbooking? I am a teacher at the local scrapbook store and traveling Expos. We have always done some great Disney layouts and wondered if any of you scrapbook too? Thinking about it reminds me that I still have to scrap last Disney cruise before I get confused:confused:

Well, off to sleep...and Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's, grandmas, aunts, and best friends!

Sorry I don't work there anymore. I left in August of last year, started in the July of 2006. Worked on parades and firework shows and Attractions in Tommorrowland ( Buzz, Autopia, and Monorail) I had to leave there for schooling. (Officer Trainning School) Some day I'll go back:thumbsup2

Count us in for the FEs. :thumbsup2 DS is excited about delivering small items to people.

I'll double check our cabin number and pm it to Robyn.
