Bought a new suitcase for my DD. It has monkeys on it. She is sooo excited. She is already discussing which clothes to bring!

Got Disneyland paid off and have one more payment for cruise!

Well don't feel bad - I went in today to see what our total balance was but the main TA was off to I will be seeing tomorrow

ROBIN - I wondered how you knew - I imagined that you checked the boards pretty often. I had this mental image of you scouring the boards. Then found out that they had a revamp. So now here we are. Time is getting closer. I will discuss with DD on starting one - thanks for continuing to check back with us. Your going to have a blast.

We recently became members too and since we have what I call a large amt of pts was considering using some for a cruise but it seems that is not the best route to go. Think I'll splurge and get a 2 bedroom at OKW when we go there in Sept. It'll be low season. What the heck - that's what we bought it for right? To enjoy for ourselves? I've gone too long on giving the best presents away - time to start enjoying ourselves.

Hi Brandy...welcome aboard

If you read the first page you know I am no longer on this cruise and have changed it to the following week but am still chatting here and keeping up the thread

You will love the Disney cruise it is soooo much fun and the kids love it.
So how old is your daughter and what dining do you have, what state do you come from so I can put all your info on page one.

Not sure if you knew that the excursions are up on the Disney cruise line site and that you can view what you may want to sign up for. You will not be able to sign up till around 70 days prior ...cant remember exactly because you are a new cruiser. It is 90 days for repeat. I will double check on when.


I have been on 5 other Disney cruises and this will be our 6th. This thread has been running slow but should start picking up soon.

I am here everyday on the DIS so if you have any questions I am around...

If you can give me that info i will put it on today. Look at the first page and you will see what I am requesting...you can give me all or just what you are comfortable with. The more info the better. As the excursions get booked I will put down who is going on what and when.

Hey Brandy - This is Laura - I check periodically. Anyway, we too are from SoCal. Robin has been fantastic checking up here but we need to get this thread jumping.

Anyway, just in case no one told you - as you are earning your ears - you cannot PM (Private Message) until you have over 10 postings so start posting. Just tell us a bit about yourself and break it up. No one will complain about too much chatter!

I will be traveling with a large group but my DD will be 15 at the time of travel - she's my baby. We have been on numerous cruises and if you have any questions about this cruise - we did it last time they were out here - dont be afraid to ask. But be forewarned - are you in for an adventure of your lifetime, PM me and maybe we can get our kids together. BTW, if she in any way anxious - tell her not to be for I have no doubt she will make friends. This past summer - we did the Med trip and DH and I had to hunt down DD (who was moaning and groaning because she "didn't know anyone") when she forgot to check in with us. Found her and a group of 20 kids talking in the promenade lounge.

One more piece of advice - whater you plan on taking to wear - tak out 1/2 and then you'll still have too much clothes.

I always tend to over pack so I will definitely have to take that into consideration. I'm in Walnut Park. Not to far from 710/Firestone. That would be nice if the girls can talk to each other. It is definitely an awkward age.

Ok - here's another helpful hint - LOL - I was reading my last post - looks like my typing needs some touch-up. Anyway, since you are on the other side of us - we are in 2075 and 2077 but we will definitely have the advantage when we come back from excursions. Here's another hint:

You know those hanging shoe holders? The ones with clear plastic on the front? Buy one of those to hang from one of your doors. They usually come with 3 or 4 L-shaped metal holders. Place those over the bathroom door or the stateroom door and use them to help keep your place tidy. he long ones - the 72 inch one are usually too long but if you don't pay a lot of $$ for them - you can always cut it down. I buy the cheap ones so if they get torn - I don't feel so bad for throwing them away.

I bring one along for each stateroom. You can buy them like at the dollar store or Tar-Jay. Anyway, I place brushes, toothpaste, suntan lotion - medicines, cameras, band-aids, ponytail holders, little odds and ends, etc in them that end up laying on the counter. Helps to keep things tidy. And opens up the bathroom space for other stuff.

Now I'm starting to get excited. I just paid off my May cruise and am working on paying the rest off. OK - in reality - I get to enjoy the planning and get to hustle DH off to work to make the $$ to pay off our family TOAL - (Trip of a Lifetime)

I used to work right off the Atlantic and Bandini (Vernon) - for over 10 yrs until I finally had enough. Can't say I miss the daily commute. But the plus side is that your that much closer to the Port when we leave!

Hey Ladies - glad to see some activity here - also glad to hear your all almost paid off. Had a friend inquire as to what it would cost now so I put a call in to DCL - seems that for our cruise all the cabins that they have left are inside or cat 10 -12. They have ABSOLUTELY no 5 person cabins left. Wow - glad we got on.

Pumpkin Baby - remind me of your name again? Anyway, heard your part of the state was having some HORRIBLE weather. Sending and your way to help thaw you guys out. Some sort of flu bug seems to be making its rounds out here AND it doesn't help that Tuesday was 84 and the next 2 days were in the 60's. I tell you - don't want to mention the "E" word but maybe? What do you think Brandy?

Pumpkin - sorry I know I asked about your name - I'm going to have to print everybody's name down.

OH - seems that one of the fastest going excursions seems to be the Canopy Adventure in Puerto Vallerta. Bookings for the WB PC cruise had MANY cruisers not happy with DCL for their computer system which shut down. Thus not allowing booking at the 90 day mark if you were paid off. Just FYI - Concierge level can book at 105 day mark - they seem to have no problems booking, Castaway Cay members at the 90 day mark - crashed the system and first timers can book at the 75 day mark. UNLESS, you link up with a CC member and have them book your excursions - seems the way that many people on the WB were able to book.

Another option if others are willing is to see if they can schedule a private pick-up.

I may try and get a day away from our friends as they will have 2 babies and I REALLY want to try it - its not like I won't have other chances but after many days with little ones - I'm just not cut out for little ones anymore - OH NO! Just realized I turned into my father! Help me Lord, Help me!
