WOW! It's been awhile since I've looked at the thread. Sorry, I haven't kepted up with ya'll. Hey Laura, how's my old friend doing? Did I tell ya that I'm not at DL anymore? Just couldn't take the madness anymore! Karen and I are starting to get into the cruise mode now.

Cool Vern! No, you didn't tell me. Seems to be a happening thing. I guess working the mouse is a bit too stressful. I, for one can't take all the drama hence I cannot work there - well that and the fact that I take too many vacations! Work would just get in the way of vacationing.

Are we still linked? If so - looks like fun. Some in my party have been talking about going on our own - especially since they have 2 little ones. But I was just looking at the Canopy Adventure in Puerto Vallerta and I'm starting to think I would like this one! Don't know yet.

Its just you two right? OH a heads up - since this is Megan's 21st birthday - she says that anyone sitting at our table HAS to take a shot to celebrate her birthday - which is embarkation day so just giving you a fair warning!

It wasn't the stress there at d-land, it was the driving 100 miles a day and being paid just $ 8.53 and hour as a full time cast member. I think we are still linked, not sure. Yes, it's just Karen and I we wil be celebrating our 25th wedding Anniversery. I know it's amazing that she is still with me. She just doesn't want to take the time to train some other guy or it's LOVE . Just a heads up Karen & I, we dont drink, so we'll take a shot of milk in Megan's honor.

So have any of you figured out what Excursions you are going to go on? I have looked at them and will have DH sit with me and go wover htem before asking the kids.

Have any of you ever dont the zipline? we would love to do that

I thought so - I don't think Megan really does either but you know the allure of "turning 21" - so I'm indulging her. HOWEVER, I have been planting in her head this: "Watch, you'll be legal and come to find out you don't even like alcohol!" Its worked on anything else I've ever tried! Started planting this idea about 1 year ago. Is that just too evil?

Robin - I was trying to get on it on the WB PC but it seems to be sold out. I am planning on doing in Cabo on the EBPC so we shall see unless I can get some takers to go with me on this cruise. Keep you updated.

Yea, no more Monorail. It was a boyhood dream of mine, but turned into a nightmare dealing with "drama" up on the rail. The kids that work up there have an attitude that since they made it up there, they became better than all of the other cast members that don't work up there. I don't think that way, it's just not me. Plus, the pay is not worth the headache. Please don't get me wrong, I loved driving the monorail and the interaction with the guests. The best fun I had was letting the young ones honk the the horn after we would come into the station, and watch their faces light up and the reaction of the parents when I would say to them "you can honk it too!" Those are some of the best memories I have. Sorry to ramble on. I've really got some great stories of Disneyland and being a cast member. Most of the time, I was just a big kid having the time of my life, trying to make someone day there at Disneyland.

I love reading DCL threads but it can get some what addicting at times.

I haven't even sailed on my first DC and I'm flipping through my calendar to see when I can go on my second.

Hey Brandy - glad to see people posting here - Vern and I are trying to drum up more posts here. Pumpkin Baby has been helping! Now if we could just get more lurkers to come out!

Trip Reports are awesome but make me very jealous so I try to avoid them. Only because I'm not on there - I see you've been beaten through and through with DCL bug. I bet your going to be a regular if and when they bring one of the ships here!

Hey Robin - I was talking with Vern about this - I think we may do a couple of ports on our own but I am really interested in the zip line tour in Puerto Vallerta - how about you?

They have been sold out on the WB and looks like the EB will be taking them also as well as many private - some have booked on their own.

What are you considering on your cruise?

Some of us are interested in PV zip line too. Plus DD 7 want to swim with Dolphins. DS11 wants to do shrimp feast and DH wants to do fishing.
I still need to sit down and decide exactly what we want. We want to coordinate with some others on the cruise so it should be interesting Hopefully we can all get what we want.
Right now I'd be happy if we would quit getting ice storms!

Hey Brandy - the outlet is located by the mirror in the middle of the room - along the wall where the t.v. is. Its probably a good idea to bring an extension cord as that will give you a few more options.

We are joining you on the cruise on July 20th. This is our sixth Disney Cruise. Previously we have been on the following cruises.

Joining us for our fifth cruise is Grandma and Gandpa

The kids really enjoy the opportunity to spend extra time with grandma and grandpa. I also have appriciated that grandma and grandpa picked up the tab for Panama and the Med.

As an extra special treat, for the first time, Great Grandma expressed interest in going on a trip and will be joining us for the cruise.

This is a special treat since I have not been on a vacation with her in many, many years.

Since Great Grandma is joining us my sister, husband and their new baby boy will also be joining us for the first time.

We are set for up for second dining and l am looking forward to getting to know all of you over the next five months.

This is going to be a great cruise. I really look forward to getting on the ship without having to fly across the country first. Plus we save the money on air travel!

Of a special note. Over the past few cruises my father has had limited mobility and has been confined to a wheel chair. I would be happy to answer any questions related to limited mobility on the cruise. This was an interesting challenge last summer in Europe.
