Mexican Riviera Cruise April 3, 2011

I cannot remember if there is a limit on the amount of luggage you can bring with you. We are trying to figure out how to pack our scuba gear.

do you want to bring your own tanks or just BC and regs? You should be fine bringing these on as a carry-on.

Hi all!! Just checking in with everyone. I'm done with making my 1st FE gift!!! :banana:I am getting so excited:yay:

Welcome aboard. I hope that disney puts our cruise on the kids sail free special! It stinks that it ends the cruise before ours. I'm still ready for it.

I haven't done a 7 night before, but I assume it's one formal dinner and pirate night. Anyone else done a 7 night before??
On The 7 Night Cruises There Is A Formal Night A Semi Formal Night And Pirate Night During The Day There Are Ship Tours Adult Seminars And Entertaining Classes But No Fireworks At Sea (thats only in the Caribbean) So Much To Do not enough time to do it all you won't get bored..

Sharing Tips I have learned or gotten for others that help during the trip. Hope they help...

• First lunch at Parrot Cay instead of top siders. PC has waiter service and it’s not as crowded.
• Store suitcases and life jackets under the bed for more closet space
Lift up bedframe if suitcase is too big.
• 8530 – Walter E Disney suite
• Kids get free t-shirts at the end of the cruise if they participate in activites
• bring T-shirt, pillowcase or mat for picture frame and sharpies…bring to front desk and all the characters will sign and it will be returned to your room.
• Bring water bottles for stateroom, just pack in cooler, bags or luggage
• There is always breakfast/lunch service in Tritons…nice to have waiter service instead of buffet at top siders.
• Order the “All Hands on Deck” cheese platter from room service
• Take refillable drink bottles for soda service on deck 9
• Wait until the end of the cruise to buy the photo package…special photos are not included
• Get pirate supplies at party store for your kids to wear on Pirate Night
• Pack extra hangers..never enough in the closet
• Pack carry-on bag with bathing suit to go to the pool after lunch…and anything else you want with you on embarkation day. You are not allowed into your room until around 4:00 pm to unpack
• Bring address labels for the disembarkation tags you have to fill-out for all pieces of luggage
• Bathroom spray – it’s a small cabin!
• Candy for movie theatre…cheaper than buying on board
• Outlet strip to charge all electronics overnight
• Nightlight..room gets dark at night
• Post-it pad to leave notes for family members in room
• Walkie talkies to communicate with family members
• Small paper bathroom cups, takes up less space and you don’t have to share the one glass
• Ziploc bags…all sizes (various uses)
• Take showers in the fitness center…they have all the same soaps/shampoos as the room..but they are larger and saves prep time
• ID/Card holder for your room key (mostly for the kids) Disney sells a nice one in the gift shop.
• Over the door shoe holder to hold various things that might get lost in the room
• Bring quarters for laundry, do laundry on port days
• Don’t overpack….re-wear jeans/pants for dinner with different tops. Clothes kids wear to dinner can usually be worn the next day (if they are still clean)
• Two formal nights (one formal one semi-formal)… I’ve seen everything from jeans/Hawaiian shirt to ball gowns/tux… Be comfortable
Wife And Are Are Doing Our 3rd Disney Cruise What Month And Day Were you Married In 1989? still not feeling save about traveling to Mexico How Safe Is It? How did you feel the first time you did the Mexican Rivera cruise? Anymore advice would calm our nerves alot thank you...

Hello to everyone in this group. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Monica and I live in Mazatlan, Sinaloa Mexico. For anyone on a future Disney cruise to the Mexican Riviera, I am pleased to make myself available to you for any questions about the city of Mazatlan or country of Mexico.

As for myself, I am a resident of both the United States and of Mexico. I speak both English and Spanish fluently and I have sailed on DCL numerous times and have been a lifelong fan of Disney. Let me say right upfront, I am NOT selling anything nor am I affiliated with any business or tour company. I am only here to help and give honest information and opinions in an attempt to make your time in Mazatlan or Mexico a positive experience.

I hope that everyone will welcome me to the discussion and that I can be of assistance to anyone who has a question about my city or country. I will attempt to check the boards once per day, but should I miss a question, please do not hesitate to send me a private message. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Gracias,
Monica
Whats Your Advice For Safety For First Timers To The Mexico Rivera? Scared About The Excursions You Bet I Am...

Hi, we decided that we couldn't wait until July so we booked the MR last night! This will be our first cruise. Looking forward to a 7:woohoo: vacation onboard the Wonder!

:cool1::cool1::worship::worship::banana::banana::dance3::dance3::cheer2::cheer2:pirate:pirate::wizard::wizard::cool1::cool1:Keep Diana my wife and i updated we live in Salem,Oregon and this will be our third cruise the last two we did were on the disney magic we love to cruise its so relaxing and fun..:3dglasses:3dglasses:yay::yay::rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I think the Holidays have eaten up everybodys time. I'm sure that after New Years and as the date gets closer there will be a lot more chatter. On that note, its almost at the point that we can start booking excursions and such. What is everybody waiting to book? The only thing we have decided on so far is the 2 tank dive in Cabo.
I was also wondering about where we were on the FE count? Can we get a recap of who is doing the FE and their stats?

Wow, this thread is pretty quiet :confused3

I hope we're livelier on the cruise!:banana::banana:

LOL!!! :lmao: I thought it was me! I couldn't keep up with my last cruise group. I think we only have approx 6 to 8 families on this sight:confused3.

For the FE group I will be more than happy to assist. I was the ring leader on our last cruise. Basically anyone that wants to participate will send me a private message with your names, age, boy or girls, and room number (if you do not have this, it can wait until we are closer to the cruise). I will create a spreadsheet and send it out only to FE participants. The group will need to decide on how many days they would like to exchange gifts. We can also have a meeting in one of the lounges around 4:30pm just to get to know each other and indroduce our children. Let me know your thoughts:yay:

Hi!
We're also sailing on the 4/3 cruise. It's our first Disney cruise which is pretty exciting! We're flying in a few days early to hit Disneyland as well.
I've been reading up on the FE and that sounds like something my family would enjoy.

I can't believe it's at capacity for children. I'm hoping there will be cancellations this month.

Hi Mommyto3Princesses, I believe you are correct. I went and looked and it will allow 4 adults but not 2 adults and 2 children. Good luck on getting in. Sending some pixie dust your way! :wizard:
