Metro New Orleans DISers - check in!!! - Part II

 hey y'all,

I slept really late, the baby sunscreen I used yesterday & day before as broken me out in a rash again. I wish I'd have the reaction right when I put it on, so I'd know. But noooo, waits a day before I get welps & itch all over. So I was really tired, popping benadryl last night & then again this morning.

Lori, I sure feel sad, that you're having a rough time on the road. Maybe you should take a short break & let Rick handle one trip alone? Just to recharge your batteries.

Kathy, Great news about Delgado & Kyle!:cool1: Sorry about your parent's house not selling, it's really a buyer's market right now & bad for the seller. Also sorry that Johnny is not being a dear lately.

Tricia, Letting them take off in the car, is just about the hardest thing you'll ever do, as a parent! My advice would be to not let her in the car with too many friends, the more the merrier & they less they pay attention to the road.

Terry & Jenny, That sounds like fine fun!

Jenny , Have a great evening! I'm jealous, especially of the sexy shoes! I guess I'd have to break out the red birkenstocks for a night out like that!! No Manola's in my closet that for sure! :rotfl2:

TriciaII, How is your Dad doing?

I am going with about 10 of my girlfriends!
We are wearing our sassiest outfits and sexiest shoes.
Gonna meet up for cosmos and dinner and then the movie!
I cant wait!

Now that sounds like a fun evening.

Thanks all for the advice. By far this is the hardest thing I've gone through with her. Maybe by the time Kendall goes through this I'll be an old pro but somehow I think not.

Kathy good luck with your parents house. You need to get a St. Joseph statue and bury it.

Never heard that one.....tell me more!

My Sister's MIL own a religious store and she sells little hits that people buy to help sell their houses. You are supposed to bury a statue of St. Joseph in the garden of the house you want to sell. When you sell the house you dig him up and put him in your new garden (or in your case your garden).

Sorry Kathy I missed the second part of your post on the not answering part. I hope it works.

I can't believe I'd never heard of this before. I found a website that had hundreds of testimonials so I ordered a kit from them. Thanks so much for telling me about it!:goodvibes

Ok the movie was great, our outfits were too cute it was a GREAT night UNTIL i got home!

I had put SEVERAL shirts on delicate in the wash before I left home. My DS19 has never touched the washer or dryer in his life ... its the way i like it. WELLL TONIGHT he decided to DRY about 500.00 worth of shirts, so he could wash his work clothes while i was sleeping. Now granted i guess i should be happy he was helping out..... BUT GUESS WHAT... now ive got to go out and by new clothes because most of it shrunk a few sizes!!!

I AM SOOOOO MAD!!!

OK i know..... just relax... right BUT I CANT I AM SO MAD!

Jenny - I learned that lesson years ago. I taught Kyle at a very young age how to sort and wash his clothes because he wanted to learn, weird, huh? Well, the same thing happened to me, needless to say I NEVER leave anything in the washer any longer. I KNOW how you feel....

Woohoo!!! More nawlins peeps!!!:cool1: :cool1: Welcome!!! You really caught us during a slow time. Usually you can't shut us up! Where ya live at? (nawlins speak ya know) I'm a Westbanker in Marrero, dawlin.

Tricia, Hope you didn't sweat your patootie off! Or maybe I'm hoping you did??? If it was me, I would be hoping to sweat it off.:hyper:

We had a great time at Zephyr Field Thursday evening! The Coors light pavillion was sooo cool. Literally it was cool! As in temperature! :goodvibes The food was good (well it was free). Really it was very good, but they didn't do a very good job of keeping the food filled up.

Today we went to DH's company picnic at Rosethorn in Lafitte. Food was catered by Porky's Barbecue, pretty good but nothing special.

I live in "Metry" on the Kenner line across from Chuck E. Cheese...we own a DJ business so DH plays a lot on WB and down in Lafitte (swamp music ROCKS!) We also have a karate school in Chalmette (yeah we run around a lot!) I love Z's games - have sung the National Anthem there for a few years now....love going on Friday for added treat of fireworks! glad to meet others here in town who are as.... dedicated as I am (and can understand why I set my alarm at 5:54am to check for NONEXISTENT EMH calendars!!!)

We're also thinking about the Podcast cruise in May 2009. Rick's never been on a cruise before and I haven't been since I was a 'tweener. I've wanted to do a Disney one forever.

What's yummy for Mardi Gras at everyones house?

I know I am just getting to this thread and this may be answered later as I read...what's a podcast cruise? we want to go on a Disney cruise!

Hi all!

Just got back in from Madisonville, we spent the night the day on the river and out on the Ponchatrain. Had a ball, cant wait to do it again. I forget how much I love that area... Once again it has renewed my urge to move to that area LOL.
Maybe i need to get a job so we can have the extra income to get a camp there LOL!

Gotta run and get unpacked, Ill be around to chat tomorrow.
