Metro New Orleans DISers - check in!!! - Part II

I also forgot to mention that I went shopping with a friend on Sunday without DD- I haven't done that in a lonngggg time! Maybe since she was born? It felt sooo nice to not worry about having to keep baby happy, carry a diaper bag around, keep an eye on nap time, chase her in dressing rooms, etc. It was wonderful! I definetely need to do that more often. ;)

Lori, That sounds like a fun day! You should definitely plan that more often! :goodvibes

Lorie - I remember how that felt like it was yesterday. My neighbor talked me into going shopping and leaving Kyle who was just about 18 mos. with her niece. I was nervous and antsy but I felt so free and like I had a life again, great feeling, huh?:thumbsup2

Morning Y'all,

Hope everyone bundled up this morning that wind is chilly!

Here's some info. all of you Westbankers might be interested to know. It was forwarded to me from someone who lives in Plantation Estates.

I really hope they finally do tear down that home JcP building. It's awful. I'm sad that Laborie's is taking over that space though. I was really hoping for a Rouse's!

Have a good day!
All of that sounds great, EXCEPT for the OTB. I do NOT want one of those around here...:sad2:

I have nothing against the casino's etc, I just think that the OTBs draw a different kind of crowd.

HERE I AM!!!! lol, our computer finally came in yesterday, woohoooooooo

I am so excited, my Career Day thing is tomorrow. Also I have signed up for the Wilton Cake decorating class at Micheal's. It starts this week as well. This is going to be my night out away from the boys...I can't wait.

Stephanie, I agree with you on the OTB! BUT, I'm so sick of seeing that Luther's lot look like that! I mean it took them 2 years to take down the sign that looked like it was about to fall into the street any minute!

Good luck tomorrow!!! :thumbsup2 & have fun at your cake decorating class too!

Girl! I was just about ready to send the armed guard out looking for you!!! So glad to hear from you! :cool1: How are things?

Hi Jenny. I remember being without a computer for a couple of months after Katrina. Talk about feeling out of sorts with the world. How's the new one, fast I hope.

I know what you mean about your baby growing up fast. Can we just stop the clock!

Happy Hump Day!

Hi everyone!!!:hippie:
I just booked the Boardwalk Concierge garden view suite for 8 days in Dec.:thumbsup2 We got the 40% of code. Couldn't book the Poly so am trying Boardwalk.
The whole trip cost $3,959.74 with airfare non-stop, magic your way/park hopper, etc. Do you think we got a good deal staying at the boardwalk? Its a 1 bedroom suite with a king size bed upstairs. Sounds great.
Hope I made a good choice.
The dates are 12/9-12/16.
Yahoo!!!!

Morning Y'all,

Jenny glad all is well! except of course that Little Man Jack will just be Jack, before long! They grow up sooo fast, it makes you want to cry!:sad1:

Poppinsme, That price w/airfare & tickets at CONCIERGE SUITE sounds like a good deal to me. :cool1: How many people is it for?

Did anyone notice that Helena Moreno resigned from WDSU? To consider a run for Bill Jefferson's congressional seat?! That's our district & I'd be happy with pratically anyone but Dollar Bill! Just wish Helena looked old enough to vote! ;) I would think looking her age would make her a bit more electable! ;)

Have a good day, y'all!

My trip home to NOLA was great. I was only there from Wednesday to Sunday so I had to cram a lot in. I went dress shopping with my Mom cause my brother is getting married in June. She found something very pretty so shopping was a success. Here is what we ate:

roast beef po' boys at a neighborhood restaurant Come Back Inn
boiled crawfish at home
oyster po' boys at Bozo's
chargrilled oysters and 1/2 stuffed lobster at Drago's
catfish at Middendorf's

:woohoo: :goodvibes
