Hey y'all!
I survived Sesame Street!
I can't believe they are going to torture us for that long. The position he is in now is asst store manager, so he oversees, well, everything- hence the long hours. They lost a dept manager and the company CEO came to town to visit (so they had to get the store in perfect shape), so those two things contributed to the long hours the last few weeks. He is also on salary, so he gets no overtime for all of the extra hours worked. If he gets the position he interviewed for today, he'll be back to hourly wages, so no more overtime or crazy hours!
I also hope you don't have to go all the way to NY to pick up your money- crazy!

Eh, you didn't miss much. It was cute and all, but DD was more interested in her bucket of popcorn and the light-up spinner toy we bought for her. There were kids melting down all over the place by the end of the show. Not to mention how expensive everything was adding up- parking $10, reg drink $4, popcorn $5, spinner toy $15, and on and on. It wound up being a pretty expensive outing.:Lorie, I hope that you managed to get through Sesame Street Live. I was going to take Spencer, but decided not to when he wasn't all that excited about it. I figure the money is better spent at Disney, right?
They are going to let him know on his next shift Saturday night.Does he know how it went at this point? I hope he gets it since it sounds like this is what will be best for your family. I still can't fathom why they need him to work such long hours in his current position. I understand emergency personnel doing it, but people in retail?![]()
