Morning Y'all,

Rain, rain, go away, little me wants to play! I woke up this morning dreaming of Prejean's Duck & Andouille Gumbo & German beer! Gosh I hope this weather comes through quickly & without any winds to mess up all the set-up for Gretna Fest! DH was going to take off early today so we could go for the German Beer Tapping & to hear James Rivers Movement!

Terry, I really sorry that the Christmas fund had to go into paying bills! What does your DH do? One year??! That's so sad. Prayers that he finds something soon. I like your new Tiana avatar!

Lori, I hope the museum event means we are also going to have more Disney hoopla here with the opening of "The Frog Princess" movie! Another parade here would be so awesome!

Great! I have a sprained ankle which I obviously irritated by not resting it. I've started an anti-inflammatory and am supposed to stay off of it as much as I can this weekend.......how do I do that and go to the fest too?????

I'm bringing a chair. I can't stand too long, except in WDW for some strange reason! Parking is going to be a pain though, you should get Johnny to drop you off close to an entrance.

Hey y'all. After getting over my initial reaction of being upset about my ankle I'm now thinking of what will be best for what's most important, WDW trip of course! I'm seriously considering skipping the festival this weekend. Nothing is worth being miserable on a vacation I've been planning for a year!

Hey y'all. After getting over my initial reaction of being upset about my ankle I'm now thinking of what will be best for what's most important, WDW trip of course! I'm seriously considering skipping the festival this weekend. Nothing is worth being miserable on a vacation I've been planning for a year!

I was going to post that you should stay home because of your upcoming trip.
Of course, you could always rent a scooter and then post about it on the theme park board. That's always a hot topic and good for drama!!!

Funny you should mention that! I was talking to Sheryl about it earlier and Johnny suggested it. If I do what I'm supposed to do, rest it and go easy at the gym, I should be in pretty good shape in two weeks!

If you need one, definitely rent one. My knees-the inside on my right knee and the outside on my left- started bothering me a few weeks ago. If I'm still having pain off and on around our trip, you can bet that I'm renting one. It hurts to walk around my house. I can't imagine what it would feel like walking around the parks.

sorry about your ankle Kat I rent a scooter at Disney because my legs can't handle the marathon walking. i am hoping to start walking more to get myself ready for April....but the best laid plans....

i was over near ya Sheryl and tried to call but the phone service went in and out all day oh well! and tried to call and see if you needed anything Kat but couldn't get ya. didn't realize you were off today Serena or would have tried to meet ya for lunch since I was over there. next time!

debating whether or not to go to fest tomorrow. you can park at Oakwood or Academy and take free shuttle to fest.

Remember the Hunchback of Notre Dame premier? I graduated that night from the ultrasound program. I had tickets to that premier. I was TORN. What to do?

It was a long hard year of school vs I am a Disney fan and WHEN else will there be a Disney premier in my hometown??

After much thought, I went to my "graduation". It was a small school-only 9 people in my class, and "graduation" was at a fancy restaurant in Baton Rouge. Only 1 guest per graduate-so, of course, it was my hubby. He gave a party for my family and friends later that week. I am sorta glad I went also b/c we had to write a BIG paper on something cardiac related, and my paper recieved award. Only one in class, not that it was a big selection I was proud of it b/c it was a really heartfelt paper. It was about a little boy we did an echo on in school that had Left ventricular Hypoplasia(meaning he had no left side to his heart- he was adorable and his lifespan was limited-it broke me).

Anyway- I gave my tickets to my MIL and FIL and they had a BLAST at the premier. As my consolation, they gave me everything they got from there. Recently, as I was going through all my memories in the attic, I found it....

As a side note, Paul gave me something kinda cute for my graduation. Others thought it was wierd, but since I have loved Disney since I was 16, it wasn't to ME. Toy Story was fresh out and I wanted the Buzz Lightyear doll that talked, and the Woody with the pull string. he got me the pair for a graduation gift-I LOVED them! They are also in the attic.

I have been sleeping off and on all day...I love my Friday's off.

I think this is SMART! Take aleve or an anti inflammatory, ice it and bring those aleve to Disney and take it every day!

Good Morning ya'll... the weather is beautiful!

Well, can you say STRESS? My in-laws are on their way over. I should preface this to say, they just kind of showed up in town on Wednesday. Called to say they were in Algiers. Just asking, but when driving over 600 miles, don't you normally know you are going? So.. they were coming over Thursday... no show. Then they were coming over on Friday. Again, no show, no call. NO, I get the call at 9AM this morning. I wish I were kidding. To make matters EVEN worse, tomorrow is Fletcher's birthday and he had a sleepover last night. I went to bed at 3:00AM, so I am tired, grumpy, and the house is a wreck and my DH wants me to play nice. Wish me luck in the playing nice part... I am not in the mood.

On a positive note, the Sewerage and Water board adjusted my bill so that they now owe me money instead of the $213 they said I owed them. The big bills lately were due to the water they let run through the meter as they were making the repairs. YAY for something.

Kathy.. so sorry about your ankle. Get a scooter if you feel you need it.
