OMGosh- I have had to catch up on 3 pages!!
Thank you!
My friend had this done and she has been a happy camper ever since. It has been a couple years!
awwww! Congrats!!!!
Holy Cr--! That is awesome!! What year is he???
Yeah, that is how we feel. We called her to even see if she is interested in loan to deed. I am calling Sheryl for more info, but know both parties are protected and that they pay a 3rd party, not us. If she is interested, we will look into it.
I love her too much to risk our relationship.
OK, so since some of you all are expressing proud mom moments, I am gonna share mine. Kids got SAT scores(Stanford) and I am VERY happy with the results. One got 88th percentile and 1 got 50th. I am VERY happy to have one avg and one not so avg child. I was considering changing Language arts curr. for my 88th percentiler, but she scored "Post High School" across the boards on that so I am leaving it be! It is kinda hard with comparisons with 2 TOTALLY different children, which is why I am not specifying who is who. But I am secretly thrilled!
Anyway, Ashton went to the ortho today and she is finally ready to start braces. She got her spacers in. THEN we found out that our insurance was terminated on May 31st

What???? So I call Paul to tell him and he is like "no, they told me there would be no lapse, it would be a smooth transition"(since it is the same company, same insurance, no changes), but no, they have him as "terminated" on May1st and rehired June 1st, so insurance won't go into effect till the 1st of the month following hire.
I would have NEVER made this appt if I had no insurance to cover it. ughh I am so mad. We are uninsured till July 2nd(not the 1st), but I will make the appt mid July to make sure. The ortho office has graciously said they will not file anything till we are insured.
FYI- my friend doesn't have dental and she paid out of pocket-$3000 for her childs braces. My quote was $4900 and insurance covers 50%- so for having insurance I get a $550 break-doesn't make all that much sense does it?? O well, even though we have premiums they are not that expensive and it is worth having for paying for 2 sets. Paul says we may as well figure in an extra $100 per month for the next 4 years b/c Haley is not far after. And she was a thumb sucker, so I am sure it is worse than Ashton's, who never got into her fingers or a paci, for that matter.
My baby is in pain tonight though. She couldn't even eat they hurt so bad.
