Good Morning NOLA and how about those tigers?

Hey y'all! It's raining over here! Just a few sprinkles so far, but it sounds & looks like it might really be something!

It rained a little in Mandeville but I think Slidell had tons. My nephew had a baseball game that got cancelled because of the rain. That hasn't happened in weeks.

Wow! Lots of good news all of a sudden! Hugs & high fives all around!

And what a game last night! GEAUX TIGERS!

Any of y'all get the thunderstorms that blew through late afternoon yesterday? We had over an inch of rain, blowing sideways at times! The kids started talking about Gustav. We actually had two trees go down in the subdivision. Thankfully, it all blew over in time for the game to start, so no worries about power outages!

Lori - How's A doing with the spacers this morning? For me, the pain usually wouldn't kick in until the day after the appointments. Ibuprofen, wax (once the real hardware goes on), and ice cream will become her new best friends! I have to laugh, as chocolate malts were what got me through several of those "work" appointments. Knowing I would get one on the way home made things a little easier to tolerate!

Lori - How's A doing with the spacers this morning? For me, the pain usually wouldn't kick in until the day after the appointments. Ashton was up last night asking for tylenol, so i gave her an aleve. poor baby-she is a little sore today. I made them smoothies for breakfast.

We lost power for 2 hours last night-but it was more of a mean storm then a rainy one. Lots of thunder and lightening and WIND. It was sorta wierd.

We had a busy day- we all went to Whole Foods to show off DS and get some groceries before DH goes back to work tomorrow (eek! ). DS also had a dr appt- all is well, healthy little guy so far!

I'm not sure how things are going to go tomorrow with DH gone...we'll see! I predict absolute chaos, but I'm just gonna go with the flow!

Sheryl- The chanting worked even better than the dancing- it stormed here earlier!

Lori- Hope Ashton is feeling better today!

Bethany- I know you'll be dancing the whole way home today!

Mary- Congrats to David! And I hope all goes well with your procedure.

Today was a hot mess! Omg I wanted to scream. Tomorrow the kids have a half day only then we stay 3 more hours to finalize paperwork. Then I'm FREE! More later...still having probs posting from phone since I don't have time to figure it out.

I am loving the rain.. two afternoons in a row... this morning I was a curtain hanging fool. We had curtains at our other house... but they didn't fit (color or size) here and I never got around to buying and hanging more. The house is cooler so all that effort was worth it! Rain chants forever more.

I am so sad over the death of my idol Farrah Fawcett. I had her hairstyle back in the day and I followed her career and her courageous battle with cancer. She was a remarkable woman and will be sorely missed.

Kathy- it is sad, she seemed to have a tumultuous life b/t her cancer and didn't her hubby/sig other Ryan Oniel have some kind of leukemia? I just remember playing Charlie's Angels with my 2 friends in my youth-I am always Kate. I had the short dark brown hair. My friend Melissa had the blonde Farrah do!

Ok, so Ashton cannot get her braces till mid July(I am waiting till insurance is fully in swing for 2 weeks-just scared to trust the date they gave me-July 2), so we are going back in a week or so to get new spacers-she was up last night in pain and I told her today since she was gonna have to get them re-done anyway that she had permission to pop them out. Beleive me, she got them out!
She came to me after popping ou the last one , "ahhhhh, my mouth thanks me!".
I am sorta glad b/c she has drama camp the next 2 weeks-I think I may even wait till after that now. Part of me wants to wait till after our probable WDW trip.

One bad thing about a small home, which, BTW, I really love: they overheard us checking our flights/dates for WDW while they were in bed.
They are getting more and more convinced we are up to something, but Paul doused it with random facts about moving and expensive homes, possible future car purchase and that we were just talking about me going with him on a business trip.

OK, well I gotta officially work tomorrow, and I am off to paint background for DD9's play, "Sleeping Beauty"-it is gonna be sooooo beautiful! I made purple and gold banners for the castle(like 6 feet long and 3 or 4 feet wide)-Ashton thought a big LSU should be embroidered on them!

We're sad about Michael's death. Even with all his wierdness, he was a creative genius.

Lorie, I'm glad Erik is doing well! I know you must be worn out, but I'm sure you'll be fine without Todd tomorrow. You really can call me, I'm all alone tomorrow!

I am always sad when anyone dies of cancer. I actually have Farrah to thank for my name... my mother loved her but thought that naming me Farrah was a stretch too far, but instead to play the rhyming game... still wish she would have gone with Sarah.

I hope that you manage to pull off the surprise. Our last day trip we managed to surprise the boys and their excitement when they figured out where they were actually brought a tear to my eye. But if you think they are on to you, they probably are so be careful not to overdo it.

I don't blame you for waiting the extra few weeks to make sure insurance kicks in. I am signing up for dental insurance this year just in case.

We are sad about Michael Jackson's death as well, if you remember the story a while back, that is the only CD my DH has ever shoplifted (and quickly paid for) because he needed to hear it for the trip back to my mothers... it was also my first concert back when I was 9... the Jackson Victory Tour back in the 83. I jam choosing to ignore the strangeness of his later years but the good music is timeless.

I'm taking the kids to the Aquarium today. It's been way too long since we've been there, I'm talking years. I think Colin was a baby and he is nine now so he really doesn't remember going.

I made my ADRs for our September trip this morning. I booked Le Chefs de France, California Grill, Coral Reef and Yak and Yeti. Out of all of these, I've only been to Chefs de France, so we'll be trying some new stuff this time

Also.. does anyone know anything about booking group reservations? All the sudden I need Chef Mickey's for 12 people (11 if the two year old is not counted) and I read somewhere that it has to be done through group reservations. I am going to call sometime next week to link reservations.
