Oh, and I wanted to tell y'all that I had a dream Bethany-style the night before last.
I also found out one of my new baby gifts- DH's coworker (and my old boss) told DH to tell me that he is sending me a very nice $40 bottle of wine that he knows I would love. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about- I love that man! Who needs diapers when you can get a bottle of the good stuff!

We had three $10 off a $50 purchase coupons, so the man convinces me to buy a lot of the cheapest stuff on sale. Then in WF's I'm compelled to bargain shop as he watches the prices closely.

We had three $10 off a $50 purchase coupons, so the man convinces me to buy a lot of the cheapest stuff on sale. Then in WF's I'm compelled to bargain shop as he watches the prices closely.

I'm not sure what wine it is, but I trust his judgment- he has good taste! He was my boss when we both worked in the wine & cheese dept. It is most definitely red though- that's all he drinks. I'll have to let you know when I get it!

And don't you just hate when hubbies ruin the shopping fun?

We get memos constantly (almost daily) about everything. They'll come collect lesson plan books at random; that's a full page write-up form. The other day I got a memo about how it is "UNACCEPTABLE that I accept work with THIS KIND of handwriting." This is work from SEPTEMBER. I'm supposed to make the kid RE-DO it (ALL) and re-submit the folder next week. Seriously?!? She suggested I have the kids use lined paper. BUT...If I had used said "lined paper", I would have been written up for THAT, because they are not supposed to USE lined paper. They are supposed to use "graphic organizers", which are unlined. Well, the primary ones are lined, but if I use THOSE, I'll get written up for "not being rigorous enough." And the thing is, the girl's handwriting is not that bad. It's just big.

The memo yesterday was for having clutter in the classrooms. Um, I teach TWO classes, in TWO grade levels in ONE classroom. There's GOING TO BE a bit of stuff. Also, they just CHANGED MY FLOORS. The one today was for not updating my bulletin boards (which, I had not yet done, in part because I had set aside the work to put up, and now I can't find it after having thrown everything in the closet so they could change the floors.) We are supposed to change SIX bulletin boards EACH MONTH, and each board must have the standard, task, rubric, and student work that is labeled with a post-it note with the rubric score, and a positive and negative comment.

Whatever....we haven't even received the "end term calendar" which is a fancy term for "to do list from hell". It's a 7 page (legal size paper) document that lists everything we need to do in May-June before we can leave for summer. And yes, they hold our pay hostage until it's completed to their satisfaction.

And it's not just me they do this to....it's equal opportunity, they do it to everybody. That's not even all of what they expect but I don't want to beat a dead horse or think about it anymore; I just got home for the day. It's just all getting on my utter last nerve at this point....Thank God I don't have to return in September!

The AP came to me today and told me that "I found out that you were happy when you turned in the paper that said you're not returning." *oh s***!*

(and I know most jobs are obnoxious but this is just getting out of hand...)

And I thought about making a countdown chain but haven't gotten around to it yet....if I DO get around to it, I guarantee you it won't be as fancy as yours!!

Everyone was at the buffet line (now, I haven't been to the new Panchos yet, so this is what I guess it would look like... ) and I noticed that everyone looked like they did in grammar school (12 or 13 years old), but they really were my age now. Except for me- I was my age now, and very pregnant as I am now. Well, I was looking everywhere for the flautas...where the heck were the flautas? I was just searching high and low, until they were closing the place down, and no flautas to be found- I was just going crazy looking for them. And then I woke up, telling DH that I was craving Mexican food BAD, and still am now! Weird- I won't try to analyze that one!

I'm not sure where you could get that exact one...Sancerre is kind of hard to find. I'm not surprised that World Market or Rouse's didn't have it. I'm sure Martin Wine Cellar and probably Whole Foods would have a Sancerre, just maybe not that exact one. But I tell ya, you'd probably like any Sancerre you find. I've never met a Sancerre I didn't like.

Did any of the other NOLA meet girls find the Sancerre? I thought some of you were looking...

Not having a girl I'm not sure when the trend to shorter cocktail dresses happened but I like it! Ursuline had rules about "revealing attire" but I believe they left it up to the girls to choose the length of their dress.

That rose is gorgeous!!!!!!!!

Almost forgot to mention, Kyle & Mariah said Ms. Kristina has a beautiful voice!

We had the best weather for camping yet! Sean did pretty good considering he was a first timer. All Spencer wanted to do was play in the dirt... he was filthy this morning when we got home. The camp had no water pressure so there was only what you brought... We drank through 3 gallons and used a few for dishes and such. They usually have water, but the pump went out Friday night.

I did learn that Spencer will not use the bathroom away from home. He was pretty cranky by last night and never wants to go camping again! Poor kid!

Brennan's is very nice - they were very attentive and my friend said her food was great! they have a nice $41 three course brunch....it is hard to park near there, but I had a wonderful stroll down Royal Street and all the art galleries! I almost cried at how much I just LOVE THIS CITY!!!

Because we get a week off for Thanksgiving every year... why would next year be any different? I will find out on May 4th though with my sneak peak at the new calendar

gosh I miss a few days and it is like missing months!

so I am going for an ultrasound for my legs Thursday...really don't think it is a PE but will be good to get some answer...

haven't really eaten much in the last week. finally ate a piece of pizza and some mozzarella cheese with bruschetta (sp?) Jeff got at Sam's. I think it is the gallbladder, personally. haven't had much of an appetitite.

OH - my church and it's school (Crescent City Christian) are having a fund raiser Friday night at City Park 7p - 10p - $10 all the rides you can ride AND you can go into storyland. everyone has to have an armband...I will be there DJ'ing (yes one of my many talents! ) anyway, the price is usually $20 for all you can ride, and just the carousel and storyland are $3 each...so if you want a fun night out - come out!
