Metro New Orleans DISers - check in!!! - 03/2009

Come on down....

You're not helping....:lmao:

OMG I just realized something after looking at signatures on here. Lorie, that baby is gonna be born before I get back to NOLA. When's he due? Here I am freaking out about packing and all that but you've got a BABY on the way. You ready?

I can't wait until Lorie's baby starts talking... imagine the funny stories she will have to tell once she has two!

Mine kept Bethany in stitches... first, she told Spencer that it snowed in New York and asked him if he ever saw snow to which he told her he was going to the beach to make a snowman....

then... Bethany was commenting on not having different stores up in NYC and Fletcher said "Boy, you don't have much up in New York City, do you?"... LOL... sounds like he needs a trip to find out...

But now, Spencer is missing Miss Bethany and is asking me when is she coming home? meaning to NOLA.. so hurry back Miss Bethany:thumbsup2

I know Sheryl is worried. But I do have a success story to relate. My cousin (a chiropractor of all things) had terrible problems with his back and even had a couple of surgeries. He was in constant pain.

But 2-3 years ago he had one more - as new techniques and surgery became available , and he is pain free now. He can even ride his motorcycle. I think he just turned 50.

this device has worked wonders for someone I know...
the procedure involves implanting a small device, very much like a pacemaker, that would stimulate the spinal cord and in other instances peripheral nerves by tiny electrical impulses. A flexible insulated wire, powered by an implanted battery or by a receiver, is placed near the spinal cord. This lead and an implanted neurostimulator send electrical impulses that block the pain messages to the brain. In the event that the patient no longer desires neurostimulation, the implantation surgery is reversible.

grayce is missing her too...and kept asking her about throwing piglet (and she bought a new one while here so G said "oh are you going to throw that one too?!)

and Cara your kids are so cute and well behaved - even while having sodas spilled on them!

Your boys are too much...and that dog of yours. :rotfl: Especially when he saw me from across the room and just went flying into my lap.

So how'd you answer Spencer with that question?

We were not quite as well-behaved! Especially when the next soda went down and we were laughing so hard at those random people. Oops! :rotfl2:

Oh...and check it out:

The baby is scheduled for eviction on June 3rd at 8am. Am I ready....yes and no. No because I still haven't figured out how I'm going to handle two when I can barely deal with the one...and when I think back to when Sienna was a newborn, well I just get terrified. She was NOT an easy newborn- at all. I hope he will be easier! But yes I'm ready because I'm just getting to the uncomfortable stage of pregnancy, and dangit, I want my body back! I feel like I've been pregnant forever and I'm tired of dietary restrictions...and alcohol restrictions too (can't you tell from my cyber drinking?:rotfl:). And I'm anxious to finally see the little guy too. :goodvibes

Well DH promises me that on Friday (his next day off) that we're going to get the baby's room together. We have to get the crib set back up and get all of the baby gear out of the downstairs closet and set up (swing, bouncer, car seat, etc). The color and theme is the same as Sienna's- light green with frogs. I left it gender neutral on purpose- overly practical me! The room is the same room that Sienna was in before she moved to her "big girl" room- it hasn't changed much since she moved out of it- except collect a bunch of junk in her absence :headache: (I need to get rid of that junk too).

Eviction! :lmao:  You'll do great!

Okay, that room just sounds so cute! I think we need some pictures! :goodvibes

I'm one of those people that love watching those shows on HGTV and TLC where they make rooms and houses look cool. Honestly that's the reason we have cable and not still antennas. :rotfl: And I look at house listings for fun. That and the captions for them are usually a riot! :lmao:

scheduled for eviction!!!! :lmao: did you have to go to court for that...

You will handle two just fine! Your imagination is so much worse than the actual experience... And usually you don't get two hard newborns... I joke that Logan tried hard to be an only child, he was something else. Thankfully the last two were little cherubs that rarely cried... I hope that you end up with that experience (being that you already had a difficult one)

Sheryl update - Her doctor will not schedule the surgery because of the facial numbness. She needs to go to her primary dr. so that they can rule out the possibility that she's had a stroke or mini-strokes. She'll be doing that today.

Prayers for Sheryl please -

She's not coping and is freaked out about possibly having to have the surgery sooner rather than later. She is waiting to hear from her doctor as to whether she can still "schedule" it or if it has to be done soon. She sends her love to you all.

Oh Sheryl :hug:prayers being said like crazy for you. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Well our spring break so far has been centered around malls. Tuesday we hit Lakeside, Wednesday it was the mall in Slidell and today we'll be going to Old Navy, Aeropostal and American Eagle here in Mandeville. I'm trying to take advantage of the kids being off and trying on things so I'm not going all over town returning things like usual. Our trip to Disney is next month and my kids are growing like weeds. Nothing seems to fit from last year so I'm in a time crunch to have them presentable for Mickey. :rotfl:

Have a happy Thursday ladies.

Good morning.

I am continuing to pray for Sheryl. I hope she knows how much she is loved by all of us here.

Tricia, you must be so excited. I love shopping for clothes, snacks, and misc. stuff for trips. Especially Disney trips.

I won $30 playing bunco last night.:yay: Thanks to Bethany, I now know the correct way to spell it is "bunco", not "bonco".:rotfl2:

Lorie, the nursery sounds adorable with the frogs:cutie:

Morning ladies!

Love ya Sheryl.. prayers being said and tons of hugs and good thoughts being sent your way.

Dreamed about WDW last night woke up dying to book a trip.

Lorie.. I frogs , i bet it is super cute! LOL at the eviction!

Have a great day ladies, Im off to do a little horse back riding with Jack.. which I love, but the 3 margaritas from last night are playing hell with my head.
Kill. Me. Now.

Oh no, I was afraid of that! I hope we hear something soon! Sheryl, I am praying that you are well soon!!

 I do not know what to say here...I hope the doctors can figure out what is going on and help her somehow. Prayers for her.

And thanks for keeping us updated, Kat.

Nothing seems to fit from last year so I'm in a time crunch to have them presentable for Mickey. :rotfl:

At some point I'm going to need to go on a shopping spree also. Not to be presentable for Mickey, but rather to just have something to wear in warm weather! It remains a mystery what happened to the spring and summer clothes I've had in previous years. :confused3 I have SOME, but barely 2 weeks worth! Of course, considering it was in the 30s last night, I think I might have a little bit of time....

:cool1: Yay for the money! I saw a bunco game for sale at Target in NOLA. That's only how I know how to spell it. :lmao:

I have been a sleep monster since I got back from NOLA. I've been sleeping like 10-15 hours a night. :confused3
