Merry member Mixer ?

Merry Member Mixer
Doing alittle pre Christmas planning ,,I know I know it's
but I'm so excited to be going in Dec. Anyhow could you tell me about this event and do you think it might be held between Dec 18th ----- Dec 25th week or is that unlikely due to large crowds and busy season.?

We were in WDW last Dec, and the flyer we received said that it was every Thursday from 3-5 (I'm not positive about the times). We wound up arriving late Thursday night and leaving on Wednesday, so we completely missed it. We'll be able to make it this year, so we're definitely planning on being there. Friends of ours went and they said it was a lot of fun. They were given a DVC ornament just for being there, and there were some great photo ops with the characters.

Don't know if they'll hold it on Christmas Day since it's on a Thursday this year. hmmm... now i'm wondering if they'll do it on another day completely.

Looking forward to this event this year. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves though and assume there will be a Merry Member Mixer this year. Look at what happened to the Summer DVC event.

I haven't seen the dates for the Merry Member Mixer on the dvc member site yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! We have that built into our trip and I'm going to be really bummed that our first Dec. trip as members won't have a mixer!

This had completely slipped my mind while I've been planning our Dec. event - thanks for bringing it up! When we were there last year (pre-DVC purchase) we kept poking our heads into the area by the International Gateway - wondering what everything was set up for and how we could get in. Little did we know we only had to give Disney thousands of dollars! We'll be looking forward to it this year!

Darn - I had the potential mixer in my plans for 12/27 - that's a Saturday, so I don't know what I was thinking, because I read the other posts that it was on Thursdays last year.

And it fit in my plan so nicely too. Well, we're staying at BCV so maybe we'll be able to squeeze it in regardless, if they do it again.

Add me to the "hope they're doing the mxer this year" list. This is our first trip during the Christmas holiday and I want to do it all !!!

Sure hope they come out with a schedule for the Merry Mixers soon.....need to get my schedule in order! I went last year and it was fun!

We're hoping to find out info on when the Merry Mixers are this year as well. We definitely want to fit one in during our Christmas trip.
