Merchandise returns...

As part of my WDW vacation and being close to X-mas I plan on doing a little holiday shopping for kids in the family and coworkers at work.

Downtown Disney on the first day is most likely and shopping planned then.

Knowing I have another five days, I am confident I'll find something better in the parks.

Does Disney allow returns with cash refund or will I be stuck with what I already got?

Anyone know or had the experience?

I have been able to return items before, later in the trip, and was told that I could return it to any store on property with the reciept. It was very easy because I just returned to the hotel gift shop.

So that means I wouldn't have to go back to the parks or DTD to do the return.

I like Disney.

I wonder how many people go out of there way to return a product at a park and all they had to do was go to the resort gift shop.

ME! I did not know you could return at the resort gift shop. See, this is why it is so important to check the boards daily! You never know what you'll learn.

Yes you can return anything to the resort gift shop. I bought a hat in Animal Kingdom and then found one I liked better at MK. I retruned it to the gift shop at WL no problem.

Yes - their return policy is pretty good down at WDW.

I bought a Mickey Polo shirt for DH while he was riding some rides at MGM. I asked the CM if I could return it if he didn't like it/it was the wrong size. she said "Of course - here or at ANY other gift shop on property"

dang!

of course, I was talking to her 10 minutes later as I had bought the wrong size AND DH didn't like the color. hehehe

Keep in mind if you have an AP you get a discount at DTD, but not in the parks.
