Menu item DDP exclusions at Narcoosee's?

I was just looking at the menu at Narcoosee's, and noticed that a couple of the entrees on their menu cost nearly twice as much (filet mignon & lobster, $75, 2lb lobster $72, everything else under $50). I was wondering if these items were excluded from ordering on the DDP?

I had the filet and lobster last week. No exclusions except the "enhancements" which were extra sides.

We eat Lobster and cheese Plate for dessert there and it was on dining plan (it was the may 3). It's 2 credits and yes, the best restaurant to use your two credits!

I have a question about ordering here. So, you get an entree - lets say the Steak and Lobster. It comes with a side dish? And if you don't like what comes with it, can you choose something else? Also - like with the Cheese platter for dessert - does that count toward one dessert, or does everyone use their dessert options for that one platter?

You should be able to ask for a different side. We have always made changes to the accompaniments during our visits with no problems.

When you order an entree there will be a description of the entree on the menu. You will get everything that is included in tate description. Currently, on the Disney website it says the Steak and Lobster comes with Boniato Potato Mash, Wax Beans and a Cabernet & Oxtail Reduction so this is what you would get. If you do not like the sides, you can usually substitute a side that is listed as part of another entree. You would not be able to sub one of the Enhancements unless you pay for it.

The Cheese Plate is an individual dessert so it would require only one person's credits. If an item (appetizer, entree or dessert) says "for 2" it would require 2 people to use their credits. Although the cheese plate is tempting, Narcoossee's has my favorite dessert in all of DW - the Almond Crusted Cheesecake with Lambert Cherry Sauce. :)

I wonder if they would let my DD order Crab Legs as an entree?? I would hate to take her and have her order off the kids menu. (she is 17)

Would the Steak and Lobster dish be big enough to share? We aren't huge eaters. Maybe we can split that and keep the 2 credits for another meal.

I shared with my friend last October. By splitting the meal, we were able to order appetizers and dessert. Neither one if us even made a dent in dessert.

Thanks so much! Sorry for the questions - just a poor girl here freaking out! LOL :jester:

It depends on how big of an eater you are...for light eaters, I think you could share (perhaps with a supplement of an appetizer), but for someone with a larger appetite, it might not be enough. The steak is of decent size, but the lobster is only the tail and for me, lobster is a pretty "light" meal, so you don't get super filled up on it.

I planned on sharing with my DDIL if we both wanted the same meal, but the other day my DD told m that we need not worry about wasting food at Narcoossees. Her DH plans on finishing up whatever we do not eat! LOL! I had forgotten that in their home, there are seldom any leftovers in the fridge by morning! LOL! (He works nights and comes home needing a "Snack")

I do agree that if you share an appetizer would fill out the meal, unless you make the same mistake my friend and I made....we ate the delicious bread!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness! Be careful with that stuff....it is addictive!
