Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

Wonderful day you had! I loved that Evan woke up to remember the promise of soda and fries, haha.

They should have the clip on sunglasses at the eye dr, and usually in the sunglass sections around Target. Heck, they probably even have some at a gift shop in dland, but I'm not sure they'd be child-sized ones. They're easy to miss because they're not with regular sunglasses but usually on a pegboard. (I worked at an amusement park and we sold them near our sunblock and those things you clip onto sunglass arms to keep them from falling!). But at Target, probably, somewhere in that sunglass/jewelry section they have. And if no luck there, I'd try at an eye dr, anyone, you don't have to go to your normal one.

FYI, I've never had those clip-on things, but I definitely could've used them when I wore glasses instead of contacts as a kid!

Since I haven't figured out this multi quote thing, I am just going to go random here:

1. Wheel of Death ----Very Very Bad (OT: Would get on them no problem when I was a kid until my mother told me this story. She, her mother, and her sister were in Atlantic City (yep Steel Pier) on the Ferris Wheel. They we at the top when it stopped, presumablu to le people on. My grandmother looks down and says " Wow look at all those fire engines:scared1: Yep,, the motor caught fire   ) Haven't been on one of those things since.

2. Granny panties: :lmao: :lmao:

3. Walso only lost twice :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

4. Maddie in her glasses:cutie:

Glad you had a great birthday

Janet

My mom was very afraid of heights and I try not to be but when I get on a Ferris Wheel I tend to feel pangs of panic for the first loop or two. Then I can settle down and relax. Guess I am not alone!
Sounds like you had a long and funfilled day...complete with Waldo antics. I can't believe he behaved himself for the rest of the day :confused3
Your daughter looks so cute in her glasses. As far as the clip ons, I found them in Eckerds Drugstore and probably CVS carries them too. Two of my daughters wear glasses.
Can't wait to hear more!

Here in South Carolina, as refined and proper as Charlestonians try to be, there is still the element of ol' boy redneck. And, if I were to sport your hat, I might be taken NOT for one that is most fashionable, but for one that drives a pick up with a bumper sticker on the back with a picture of a mosquito that says "Send more Yankees...They are delicious!" AND I'd be driving that truck to either a mud hole to go driving in circles, or to a honky-tonk to do some line dancing.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
:lmao: :lmao: Oh boy, do I know that of which you speak! :rotfl2:
I'm gonna hammer this mini TR out in this final installment. I think we've given V a nice little break and we can all go over to her TR and run amuck! :teeth: LY,MI V!
Thanks for the plug! By all means, run amuck. I'm FINALLY done with 2 of my many papers this summer, but now my hands hurt and I feel brain-dead. Maybe some TR reading will get me back on track...popcorn::

Oh, yes. The Wheel of Death.
Poor, poor Enabler! I just cannot do ferris wheel type rides anymore. I'm not afraid of heights, but suffer from vertigo, which makes me feel like there's some unseen force trying to pull me over the edge. :scared: I blame the dual soccer field concussions.

We meet up with the boys and guess who's awake? Evan looks at me and says "I want sthoda and friesth". He has that toddler lisp that makes understanding him next to impossible. Thankfully we have his translator, Maddie with us.
:rotfl: Oh, this is gonna be a riot come August - my DS still has the lisp, thanks to all that thumb sucking! I can just see Maddie translating for both of them!:teacher:

maddiepanties001.jpg
Oh my goodness - look how grown up she looks! Such a cutie! :goodvibes

And I love your granny panties. Sadly, I've been wearing those for awhile. Once you get use to the comfiness, there's no going back.
I had to wear the granny panties when I was pregnant and couldn't wait to get them off! I don't like the feeling of them touching my stomach, I much prefer a hipster or boy leg undies. Weird, yes? :confused3

Well, maybe sometimes just for the DH but it doesn't stay on that long

I knew the Wheel of Death was a bad idea
:scared1: :lmao:
I have astigmatism too. She looks very sophisticated in her glasses though, very cute!
Thanks Heather! I think so, too. I much prefer her looking younger. They grow up so fast, you just want to keep them babies for as long as possible! :cloud9:

Sounds like u had a great birthday! I have to tell you, reading your TR about Goofy's made me run to the phone and call and make a ressie for the day of my birthday (the last day of our trip next week june 23rd)! I'm so excited and DH heard "French Toast Creme Brule" and flipped and basically was willing to call himself for the ressie! LOL! Happy Late Bday!
Mmmmm!!! Goofy's Kitchen rocks, girl! :woohoo: And a Happy early Birthday to you, Kat! :cake:

Apparently I did that for my DSis and she hardly spoke till she was about 4, she's making up for it now though
:rotfl2: It's really funny to hear Evan talk and the we all look at Maddie and she matter of factly spits out all the pertinant information. :lmao:

Oh it could go into your DVC fund
:rolleyes1

well at least they didn't buy a huge size, but really Hang on a minute are the Ducks your DB and SIL? How old do they think you are
Oh, yes they did. Size 10 underwear is very large! Underwear and clothes don't have the same sizing chart. Hmmm... now I wonder why?:scratchin:
Yes, the Ducks are my DB and SIL. But you see, I'm the youngest in the family. All my brothers are aged 40, 46 & 51! So they're teasing me that I'm catching up to them!

T she looks cuter than ever now
Thanks, Jo! :goodvibes

Wonderful day you had! I loved that Evan woke up to remember the promise of soda and fries, haha.
I was shocked that he remembered! :lmao:

Surprisingly Waldo behaved himself!

Your daughter looks so cute in her glasses. As far as the clip ons, I found them in Eckerds Drugstore and probably CVS carries them too. Two of my daughters wear glasses.
Thanks, Cathy! I showed Maddie the picture of your girls with their glasses and we both agree they're adorable! :cutie:
I will try CVS this week!

Thanks for the plug! By all means, run amuck. I'm FINALLY done with 2 of my many papers this summer, but now my hands hurt and I feel brain-dead. Maybe some TR reading will get me back on track..
Yay! :yay: Get those creative juices flowin' girl! :surfweb:

I'm a soccer girl as well! :thumbsup2 Maddie is considering AYSO this summer, but our August trip might interfere. :confused3

:rotfl: Oh, this is gonna be a riot come August - my DS still has the lisp, thanks to all that thumb sucking! I can just see Maddie translating for both of them!
:rotfl2: That would be a riot!

Oh my goodness - look how grown up she looks! Such a cutie!
I know! :sad1:

Okay, seriously... how did I NOT comment on the granny panties??? I can't even think about wearing those yet!:rotfl:

Early Oct is nice. The weather is still warm and the crowds aren't summer crazy. If you go in late fall, the park is decorated with lots of autumn stuff and then there's Mickey's Halloween Treat, which we do every year. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the advice.......so is late October a little better???? My bday is Halloween & I would love to see how Dland does Halloween.

Loved your granny panties.....:lmao:

/
:rotfl: :lmao:
I think it's so funny that you took a picture of those granny panties to post on here for all of us to enjoy! Just be sure to not wear your new under garments with your new hat...you might send a mixed message.:confused3 :lmao:

I'm talking someone give me a straight jacket and a needle, freak! I tell her, "You see???? I told this ride was bad!!! Why do you think I didn't want to ride?!?!?" She's pulling her hat over her eyes and just shriveling into the fetal position.
Oh my!! that must have been something to see:rotfl2: .
Just glad it wasnt me.

Evan looks at me and says "I want sthoda and friesth". He has that toddler lisp that makes understanding him next to impos
Isnt it amazing the things they WANT to remember:confused3
Andy and I head over Mullholland Madness
What it this???,
Andy and I start snickering and the family is sent back out the exit and told no FP, no FP line. I love when cheaters get caught! :snooty:
Me too;) !!!
He had on overalls with only one strap attached, the other hanging down, a shirt with somekind of beer logo on it, with the sleeves ripped off, a bucket hat and long hair white hair and beard. And he had the beer belly to match. It was weird.
:scared1: :confused3
Evan is a huge monorail fan. He loves that thing.
must be a boy thing, my boys go crazy for the monorail. We have several die cast ones too!!Its the one thing they NEVER loose.
Well, because those toys will keep them occupied and buy me some DIS time! :lmao:
:thumbsup2
Oh, and here's my gag gift from The Ducks:
maddiepanties002.jpg

My first pair of Granny panties!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
That is so funny!! I would be one miserable person wearing them. Even pregnant I just couldnt do it,no grannies for me.Thongs or bust!!!TMI SORRY.
She looks like a little lady, very sophisticated and grown up. Boy are you going yo have your hands full when she gets older. The boys are going to flock like mad.Thank goodness you still have a while.
Anyone know where?
At the eye dr or do you have like a pearl vision/lens crafters type place?

Well its one sad day people :sad2: to have to admit this....but....by month 8 and 9 of pregnancy I was as big as a house. I had to resort to granny pants....:scared:

Okay, seriously... how did I NOT comment on the granny panties??? I can't even think about wearing those yet!:rotfl:
Oh, you just wait you little youngun'! :lmao:

Thanks for the advice.......so is late October a little better???? My bday is Halloween & I would love to see how Dland does Halloween.
October is when we frequent the park the most. It's my favorite month. I would say late Oct is a bit better, especially when you factor in the MHT party!
How cool that your b-day is the 31st! I so wanted Maddie to be born on the 31st, but she came 15 mins early!
Here's a few pic from last Oct:

What it this???,
Think Primeval Whirl. No whirl. :teeth:
must be a boy thing, my boys go crazy for the monorail. We have several die cast ones too!!Its the one thing they NEVER loose.
Do you have trouble keeping them from getting broken? We are now the owners of 2 broken Monorails. They just snap in 2 as soon as we get home. I think it's the way Evan carries them around!
That is so funny!! I would be one miserable person wearing them. Even pregnant I just couldnt do it,no grannies for me.Thongs or bust!!!TMI SORRY.
Thongs whilst pregnant? What's the point? :lmao:

 Don't tell her Daddy that!

FUNNY STORY TIME:
One night we're all sitting around the table eating dinner when all of a sudden Maddie busts out and tells Andy: "Dad, I think my ****ies are growing!" Poor Andy lost all the blood in his face and practically :fainted:. It was so funny! :rotfl2: It reminds me of the scene in 'Riding In Cars With Boys' when Drew Barrymore's character tells her dad she needs a bra! :lmao:

your'e gonna love POFQ! i might be 13 but when me and my family stayed there it was awesome! private message me if you got questions abot POFQ cuzz i got answers:banana:

Thanks, I hope we love it too! :goodvibes

You're not alone, Cathy. I'll admit I hit the granny panties aisle as well in my late months as well.

Ok, so since I've joined the DIS, I've become quite crafty. Well, sort of. I just steal other people's ideas. :teeth:

I have to give mad props to Cathy (twob4him) and her awesome PTR. She made these darling hair bows for her little princesses and not to be left out of the hair bow scene, I made some for Maddie. I present to you my bow creations, albeit not as lovely as Cathy's! :worship:

hairbows002.jpg

We did some with Mickey heads and some with Tinker!

Now I just have to figure out how to attach them to a barrette! :rotfl2:

You are getting crafty aren't you :rotfl2: Those bows look so cute I love the Tinkerbelle buttons, Maddie will look so cute :cutie:

Well its one sad day people :sad2: to have to admit this....but....by month 8 and 9 of pregnancy I was as big as a house. I had to resort to granny pants....:scared:
:lmao: I'm laughing with you, not at you... I went the opposite direction: I was so huge I couldn't get even Granny pants to stay up and started buying the tiniest, lowest rise undies I could find to fit under the Himalyan-sized protrusion that was DS's home!
Thongs whilst pregnant? What's the point? :lmao:
But I didn't do thongs. :scared:

The ones we have from WDW are die cast metal but it is only the 1st car. We have lots missing doors and they always pop off and I can never get them back on correct. Do you have the whole train(monorail) with several cars??Where did you get them???
For Christmas we got DS5 the WDW monorail that rides on a track and goes around in a circle, Ill post a pic of it later. If you dont already have it you might consider it for a gift for Evan, its really cool.
Thongs whilst pregnant? What's the point? :lmao:

But I didn't do thongs. :scared:
OK let me explain......
that was exactly my problem. I was so huge that I was so uncomfortable in underwear but needed to wear them(no commando for me:scared1: )So one day I just put on a thong from pre-preg days and because it was sooooo small on big old me it did the trick. So for DS#2 I didnt even bother wasting money on maternity undies I just used my pre-preg ones. For anyone expecting try it out, you will see I am not crazy, I promise;)

Hey Tracy!! I just heard something on the radio so I had to log on to tell you...... Ok, so I'm just sitting here working away, thinking about our upcoming trip to Disney...and this lady on the radio said she just got back from Disney and saw a grandma wearing a harness. I busted out laughing (luckily no one is around) and immediately thought of you. Perhaps they come in Waldo size?

QUOTE]

We have two broken monorails, too. It was a sad day around here when the first one broke in half. Then, my FIL got another for DSs birthday. The next day it was broken as well :sad1: He accidentally put his knee on it and it snapped. I was considering a letter to Disney to explain my woe (poorly constructed toy if it breaks so easily) but, like so many things, I haven't had the time. I guess he'll get another one the next time we're down there. :confused3

BUT, my boys do love the monorail. Especially the four year old.
