I know men can wear them, but do you see many? Are they really as comfortable as people say? I wouldn't mind getting a pair, but have no clue what stores around here even carry them...Do the guys wear the ones with the stap on, or just the flip-flops?

Thanks for your help!

I have a pair of chocolate color Caymans that I wear around the house and that are going to WDW in 3 weeks. In addition to those, I have a pair of black Professionals (no holes in the top) that I wear to work every day. I work in an office as a computer programmer.

In the past couple of weeks, I've bought my husband 2 pairs: Athens (flip flops) and Cayman. At home, he's always wearing one or the other and has commented on the comfort. He can't wear them to work though because his job requires boots.

I have seen other guys wearing them and just last week, while sitting at a baseball game, the guy (college kid) behind me started asking where I'd gotten the pair of Aspen's that I was wearing. He said that he loves crocs, but hasn't really found the Aspen or Professional styles anywhere.

My dh did nothing but poke fun at me whenever I wore my Crocs. Then, dd started wearing them, so she got teased too. Well, one day, away from my prying eyes, dh tried on some manly Crocs at a local sporting good store. Can you imagine??? He bought some. Now, he has two pair. And we have an older family friend that sees us wearing ours all the time....he went out and bought some for himself...at the age of 75!!! Yep, men wear them!!

DH has two pairs. We recently came back from a week long vacation at the DLR and DH wore them the whole time we were there. Not once did DH complain about his feet hurting.

My DS (who's three) also has two pairs and loves them too.

So yes...men (and boys) do wear Crocs. :)

scenario-recent family get together...14 people in attendance...number of people, boys and girls... wearing crocs,10. nuff said! all the males in my family like them....

DW has a pair, DD6 has a pair, and I have two pairs - red and navy. The red were my first, bought on the Internet before they became big. They're actually a size too big, but they don't slide around my feet, so I wore them to WDW last year, and loved them. (They're especially good in the rain, and on rides like Kali River Rapids.)

I bought the navy a few months ago because I don't wear sandals (funny looking feet) and they produce the same effect on me, while my feet remain hidden. They're the right size. I got them at Dick's Sporting Goods.

You can still get them on the net, and many stores carry them. Beward of imitations.

Around here it is mostly kids that wear them not so much on the adult side of things and I think I have actually seen 1 man wearing them but he wasn't even from London so he really doesn't count most guys have enough sence to steer clear of those terrible things they call shoes.

My DH has 2 pair one in kakhi and one in Navy. He absolutely LIVES in the kakhi, wears them to and from work, on weekends at home, shopping, taking the trash out - EVERYWHERE. He took them and also sneakers to Disney and I think during our 14 day trip, he wore sneakers only once. He even wore them to the waterparks and pool instead of the leather flip-flops I packed for him. :thumbsup2

OP: I just got back from a 5 day stint at WDW and I will say with my whole heart.....I will never ever, everrrrr wear anything else while at WDW I own a pair of teva sandals that I wore on a trip to Hershey park in June, and up till I got my new crocs.they had been the most comfy shoe I had bought. I had planned on wearing them in WDW. They were very Comfy. But then I got the Crocs :thumbsup2 They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I mean my feet would hurt a little if I was standing still after a long day, but I think thats because my legs and feet were just tired(alittle out of shape  ). As soon as I started walking again they would feel fine. I tried to switch off between my Tevas and the Crocs, after wearing the tevas for half a day my feet were killing me. When I switched back to the crocs my feet felt great. I own a pair of the "Beaches" style. I tried the new "Offroad" style, they are a little more rugged looking(that was the man in me) and they are nice but I broke the plastic ring that holds the back strap on (after 4 days). It is a diffrent design than the beaches and the caymans. So just beware of that. Apperantly it was not the first pair returned to the store with this poblem. I would also suggest if you go with the flip-flop style(ATHENS) by a size down. they are a solid rubber thong that will not mold to your foot the way a cloth one does. But they are also very comfy, I one a black pair. They also tend to squeek when they get wet(the athens not the beaches0. At any rate I would encourage you to buy a pair just to see how they feel, they are relativly cheap.

My son the macho guy and fashion snob actually bought a pair of Crocs and raves about them. I've been fighting buying a pair beacuse they are sooooooooo ugly but now this weekend after reading so many positive posts I'm going to buy my first pair!!!!! I'm a convert! :cool1:

LOL I just re read what I had posted that is funny nope most guys wear shoes here some I am not to sure about though LOL. I haven't seen any men from here wearing CRACS though I guess we all have enough sence to stay away from those terrible things.

OK, so I have a question now. When wearing them in the parks, do your feet get sweaty and sticky in them?? I'm trying to convert my dh, but he's afraid that they won't be as comfy wearing them in the hot sun all day.

Thanks!!

I bought my DH a pair (chocolate brown Cayman) and told him that he WAS wearing them to the airport because I wasn't going to deal with him and his stupid tennis shoes at security. (he has flexibility issues and it's a real pain for him to tie them again). He was quite comfortable that day so he decided to give them a try at the parks. The tennis shoes that we packed for him never saw the light of day. (or even the dark of night)

He still wears his tennis shoes for work (they're more of a hiking boot look tennis shoe) but he'll pull out the Crocs on weekends.

He wore socks with his Crocs every day at WDW. I went sockless. Neither one of us had any problems with hot sweaty feet or blisters.

I just ordered my husband CROC SCUTES in chocolate brown.....they are masculine enough he says he won't wear the beach ones "with the holes" he says....BUT I bet I will make a believer out of him WE LEAVE FOR WDW in 9 days!!!!

I was the Croc initializer in our family. I have the Islander brand in chocolate. They are the best shoes for walking around. I tried them out at Six Flags recently and didn't have near the foot problems I have had with tennis shoes.

Wearing them to the airport is a great idea too.

I bought my husband a pair of Black Airwalks at Payless. He wants to buy another pair.

I did see a family wearing orange Crocs at the Poly.

I bought DH a red pair for Father's Day (at his request!), and he LOVES them! He is a chef, and saw Mario Batali wearing them, and just had to have a pair. I have to admit that I can't seem to make myself get a pair, though.
